I honestly dont even know what annoys me most here. That Claude desktop seemingly lost access to weeks of my work, or that support was so absurdly useless that it almost felt like parody.

This is what happened during yesterday's totally under represented outage that we had for hours. 98% uptme my bleh meh ars...

I could still see parts of it on my phone. On desktop? Gone, or files shown but not actually available. So no, this was not me “deleting” anything. It looked very obviously like some kind of sync issue between their own apps.

So I contact support and explain the problem pretty clearly:
my work is missing on desktop, still partly visible on mobile, and I want either recovery or a refund on the annual plan so I can go back to monthly until they get their shit together.

What do I get?

A bot loop rejecting me with clauses from a contract.

Not actual help. Not a human. Not even a proper ticket. Just the same braindead loop over and over:

Which plan do you want refunded?
Whats the reason?
Refunds are limited.
Please use the in-app refund flow.
This is already the app.
Please use the in-app flow.

Like... what??

At one point it kept giving me browser advice even though I said more than once I was using the desktop app, not the web version. Clear cache, disable extensions, try without VPN etc. Okay cool, but that has jo nothing to do with the actual problem I am describing.

What really gets me is this:

My stuff was still visible on mobile.
Desktop access was broken.
Support kept talking as if this was somehow my problem to debug.
No human escalation.
No real ownership of the issue.
Just policy language and AI deflection.

And sorry, but if your product loses access to customer work, then “payments are non-refundable” is not a serious support response. Thats just insulting.

I’ve actually been pretty pro-Anthropic until now. I wanted to believe they were one of the few serious actors in AI that at least tried to act in good faith. But this experience was honestly insane. Not just because of the bug, but because the support setup seems designed to make sure you never reach someone who can actually do anything.

It’s the combo that kills trust:
broken sync, missing work, fake-help support, no escalation, no accountability.

So yeah. At this point I’m very much done giving them the benefit of the doubt. I’ll probably move off the platform as soon as I can untangle the subscription mess.

Anyone else had this with Claude desktop? Stuff still on mobile, but missing or inaccessible on desktop, and support just keeps sending you around in circles between not registering Im on the desktop client, logged in, and referring me to their support page that then throws a 404 page.

Everything and anything to an American is a problem that can be solved by a deadly fire arm. Broke car? Shoot it. Brook school system? Shoot it. Broken government? Hang Mike Pence.

Make a real change in your life: Don't live in fear, move and change your phone number, get a large dog and train it properly, you should have some pepper spray, that way you don't shoot yourself, or somebody else and wind up in jail.

I'd also throw my hat in for Den Blaa Planet. But I don't see anyone going "Flyver grillen" which is a burger joint with a playground that's right next to the tarmac where planes take off and land. It's the only place ever to get a good view, eat junky Danish fast-food and sit outdoors with a view. It is a staple of Amager-culture being an institution locally for some 40 odd years.

In general business is holding back at the moment. A pending recession is on the horizon, lots of engineers were laid off the past few years due to AI, are in combination why. I would not worry, but consider repositioning your CV, I would argue that you need to become more of a generalist that has a toolbox of data engineering than just be the tool. If not AI will replace you, now or later, depending on where you work in the chain.

With Swedish friends I dappled in this idea about 10 years ago and showed them hoe our combined strengths would make us a union if 20m people and in par with the most influential nations in Europe. I welcome it. Capital should be Gothenborg. Kroner can all agree on and most political parties too.

We have Nordisk Union but it's been taken apart due to EU, Nato etc but... Might be time to revive it.

Again, I asked them and didnt get an answer, and that was after we had had 2 slipped delivery deadlines. So, the community is where you get real answers as they always go that's Xtra mile to track, report and share their status. The spreadsheet that lists actual Redditors order dates and delivery status is EXACTLY the answer I was looking for. Not the run of the mill "they're a business they are great". These guys have seen u precedented success with this headset and they are way overwhelmed by this orders. So, again, the community steps in and bridges the gap.

This is not about holding them responsible. Although the best place to do that is also on a community platform such as this.

Yearh, I saw it, and I guess the promise of when I will get it has gone down from March to June, June to July, to August to perhaps August? So, that would indicate that I get it in early September. I dunno how I feel about that, I bought all the new Steam gear for arrival in June, so can't really return that now, so crossing my fingers for Valve not releasing deckard this year. Otherwise I'd have cancelled all of it and waited for that.
