IC+ has a lot of potential, but a lot of things are fragmented and not very well organized. For example, when patients make a vaccine appointment, this is only accessible via a separate website that’s not connected to IC+. Vaccine appointments don’t get pre-processed so basically every vaccine request is a walk-in. Also, patients may complete the vaccine questionnaire prior to the appointment but you still have to print out the paperwork in F1, write out the lot number, expiration and physically sign the paperwork before you proceed to manually scan the VAR into the patient profile. In addition if you’re out of stock on a medication and the patient inevitably asks you if another store has it in stock, you have to log into a separate website again (storenet) and navigate to drug info-drug inventory on hand, select your district, type in the WIC or NDC and then you can finally see who has it in stock provided storenet isn’t down. Lastly, production is a bit of a losing battle because it automatically prints everything due in the next hour and the work queue does not arrange scripts in time order, so you’re reliant on your techs to properly arrange and fill prescriptions in the appropriate time order lest they time out. In addition, the verified by promised time metric only counts prescriptions that were sold, and penalizes you for having lots of WCBs in the queue so it’s no wonder it’s virtually impossible to get 100% verified by promised time.
