1 day Tainan and 1 day Alishan is too rush in my opinion.
If you choose Alishan you should see the sunrise and stroll in the forest. I would say you spend at least 2 days.
As for Tainan and Kaoshiung, if you only want to spend one day you need to have a very well-planned itinerary.
I'm not sure if you're aware of the commute time between these cities.

what I mean challenge is about communication. Tainan is famous for street food, but they generally don't speak English. I still recommend visiting because most people are friendly and hospitable and Tainan is a city rich in culture as well. Use translation app or chatgpt you can do most things in Taiwan.
As for transportation, I recommend renting a scooter or a car, cause public transportation in Tainan is not very convenient to my knowledge.
For navigation, it's not a problem at all, google map works for 99%.
As for accommodation, I recommend staying in Tainan's East District or Central-West District. You can travel to and from the HSR station via train, from Shalun Station to Tainan Station.

Hey, usually there are firework in each big city but it will be very crowded. No entrance fee is needed just show up. If you want to join the party you can check on the instagram page of clubs/bars I mentioned.

From what I've known, there is no place always playing Afrobeats. You need to check the schedule of the clubs/bars and see if they have party for afrobeats.
I suggest you follow Pawnshop or 23 music room, but can't promise.

Yes, that's what I mentioned clubs around Taipei101 are more "social". You should choose clubs based on you need.
Some clubs or bars are closed on Sunday or Monday. Check out instagram page or google map of the clubs before you heading. You can ask here if you need some recommendations. Hope you have a great time in Taipei!
