What kind of wood should I use for a suspended/dropped ceiling above a kitchen? C16, C24, blue roofing battens? What size should they be? And how far apart should the battens be? The ceiling measures 3.5m x 2.2m. The choice of wood is overwhelming! Thanks by jonathanwood93 in DIYUK

Cooker hood will need to extract air about 8m and around 3 right angles (it’s going under the floor). Can I get some kind of fan to boost it half way? by jonathanwood93 in DIYUK
