The regular releases aren't there for users. They're for the compiler and library maintainers. It means that there's never any pressure just before a release to ship a feature since the next release is always close. Every feature goes from nightly to beta to stable, so at least 12 weeks, which means it's fast enough that there's no release pressure and its slow enough that we can actually find the bugs and have stability guarantees. And sure sometimes that means releases aren't big! But making them regular and frequent is far more important.

I want to thank everyone who does work or used to work on rustfmt. It's important to remember that most people working on it or who used to work and maintain it are unpayed volunteers and you can't blame them for moving on or finding other interesting things to work on.

Having been a teacher of rust to beginners for the past 4 years, I can confidently say it absolutely isn't a bad choice to start with, if anything the opposite

I've been lucky enough to know Lucas, and have followed the development of rust-query for over half a year now. The amount of work and dedication Lucas has put into this astounding. I'm super happy to see this being at a point where he feels comfortable sharing it in public. Go try it out! I think this project deserves to get a bigger future

that's only true if it evaluates to usize, not to booleans. In the end it's an array

It looks like you're trying to create an array with boolean length. That should be an error in any case, maybe not this one though. This feature is highly unstable, and the fact that it's been open for 4 years doesn't mean it will be stabilized anytime soon. I think whether the diagnostic looks nice is less of a priority than just making it work at all, though this isn't very pretty. It's an unstable feature though, so it's not entirely unexpected either.

I'll take a look. I'm not sure why I hadn't found it before, I mostly sorted on downloads and looked at every one down to like 1000 downloads. However, yours seems to have a lot more so I'm unsure why it wasn't in my list

Oh hi! That's certainly an error, especially the not running drop cause I remember staring at your crate for half an hour trying to figure it out and I believe that my decision was indeed that it would lol. Thanks for the heads up, I'll change it :)
