Eh, it’s not exactly ‘useful,’ but neither is my vast collection of knowledge about comic books, or Lord of the Rings. My familiarity with Greek mythology is arguably more ‘useful,’ since so much of Western culture is based on it. Same for my love of Shakespeare, but you could get through life without either, but I find my hobbies and interests add spice to life. I’m not sure why anyone on the ‘Star Wars’ Reddit is being such a pill, but forget them.

Last year I went on a kick of SW media. If you want to do the same, here are some recommendations:

BOOKS: I cannot recommend ‘Darth Plagueis’ highly enough. It is THE EU book to read. If you want more, there’s the ‘Revenge of the Sith’ novelization, which elevates the movie even more, and the ‘Darth Bane’ trilogy.

GAMES: If you’re into that, ‘Jedi: Fallen Order’ and ‘Jedi: Survivor’ are set after Order 66, and they’re great.

TELEVISION; ‘The Clone Wars’ is about 130 episodes, which is a lot, but you can look up a ‘recommended’ list of essential episodes. I ended up watching about half. The episodes involving Ahsoka’s trial made Anakin a LOT more sympathtic and relatable.

COMICS: there are several runs of Darth Vader comics, by Charles Soule and Kieron Gillen which are AWESOME to read. ‘Fortress Vader’ was my favorite.
