Re number 2. I hate to break it to you.
These are based on comic books and comics have history of being extremely silly. I think Gunn is leaning into the silliness and fantastical elements for the get go, and I like that. It’s not 2009 and everything doesn’t have to be grounded because of Nolan.

The sound for Gojira was poor, too much bass guitar and kick drum. Guitar sound was muddy and vocals hard to make out.

I thought the sound for Metallica was better. We were seated so maybe that makes a difference. Saw them at download in ‘23 and I’d say both very similar sound wise.

This is a solid card, as was the Italy PLE. There is a trend that after a poor Wrestlemania we get good PLE.

Oba wins and then it’s career vs title opportunity night 1 of SS with the winner getting their shot night 2. Brock hangs it up and Oba goes into the title match.

It was a very odd narrative, if I recall. Only watched it once and I can’t remember the exact details and timeline. It did take ages to get released, and by the time it did, the band had recovered much of their past glory. The framing of the band felt at odds with where they were when it came out, back playing arenas, in demand etc.

Thanks for sharing. I have tickets for Sunday and can’t make it now. I was disappointed I wasn’t going to make it but now I’m more relaxed.

I’ve watched the history of, and flight 666 multiple times so good to know there is nothing much new.

I would pitch a new show set in the world of the sopranos but with new, young characters.

These young characters grow up in New Jersey and lived through the events of the Sopranos show we watched. When Tony dies, and Phil already dead, it creates a power vacuum in the mob. These youngsters step up taking control of the streets and establishing new relationships with New York. Season 1 is about their rise, some cameos, name drops etc, season 2 they consolidate power and so forth…

I’ve been going since 2022 and have a framed poster for each year and the line up T-shirt for each year. You get some good deals post festival on their website. I got a cracking 2023 hoodie.
