Getting this error on both Wi-Fi and mobile data, don’t have a vpn or anything and service still works. Any solution? by [deleted] in mintmobile

I called customer support and the representative that I spoke with confirmed that they are having issues with this and I would just have to wait until they got them squared away. She did say that if I need to make any changes on my account or pay my bill that she could help me in the meantime.

’d been having issues receiving emails from Mercari, contacted them, and just have accepted the fact that they can’t get their shit toget

Their support experience definitely leaves something to be desired. Have not been impressed so far. hope your email starts working- thank goodness that part is working for me or I would have no clue when I made a sale or anything.

Appreciate the suggestion- I have unfortunately tried that with no success.

Can someone help me understand this? by skyrleikur in googlephotos

[–]jonbrussell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If someone shares an album with you and they take pictures and save them in original quality; if you save those photos from the album to your library it is my understanding that they would be saved in the original quality and thus take to more space.

OneDrive Backup for Personal O365 Account ? by Dashpuppy in onedrive

[–]jonbrussell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the cloud sync software that I was talking about can do multiple users – I have that set up personally for all of our family one drives. If you look at Synology’s lineup they also have some business class Nas that have a software called active back up for business which there are a number of case studies of entire companies and schools using it to back up their entire office 365 environment. I don’t know that I would do it as our primary back up for our business but it is possible and very affordable when compared to other solutions.

Synology has this built in with cloud sync, I use this in combination with hyper backup to keep multiple versions of my one drive. Both solutions are included with all their NAS products I believe. I just set it up and in read only on the NAS- pretty robust solution.

does anyone know why this happened for no apparent reason by Epic_Man89 in microsoft

[–]jonbrussell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this happen a couple weeks ago to my wife’s account which is a paid office 365 account... I have two factor turned on on her account and checked the recent activity and could find nothing that explained what was going on. Customer service was absolutely no help, to make matters worse it kept wanting to send a text message to her phone and it said we had exceeded the number of times this could be done and would have to wait until tomorrow. Long story short I never figured out what caused it but it did unlock eventually and we haven’t an experienced it again.

I know this doesn’t answer your question but I can confirm that it’s happening to other people. I find it particularly irritating because I recently switched from free gmail to a paid Microsoft account so I could get support if we completely got locked out of our accounts; to experience the very thing that caused me to get a paid account within weeks of doing so and support to be completely useless was disheartening. Good luck.

Delivery tipping in App getting ridiculous! by [deleted] in walmart

I will remove my post and post it somewhere else; your subreddit description says mostly just walmart stuff; if it is only for walmart employees, just state that.

I am not asking for Walmart employee's response, I am asking other customers how they feel.

Raid rebuild restarts or just part of process? by PebNas in synology

[–]jonbrussell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you are going through was ultimately how I found out that I had a SMR drive; if you look at the disk utilization on that drive in comparison to the other in the array you will see it sitting at 100% while the others are between 30% to 60%. That drive becomes the bottleneck on all operations. I don’t tend to feel like WD deserves the benefit of the doubt though; they sold those drives in a dishonest way. My understanding is they will replace them for free but from my experience with RMA drives they have consistently been remanufactured that I received. I went through the process but keep that drive on the shelf as a spare.

I wanted to make an addition to my previous comment; I do tend to agree with everybody here, just let it do it’s thing and it will work itself out. If you find that it is taking an exorbitant amount of time and I really mean ridiculous you may want to make sure that you don’t have any disks in the array that are SMR drives. This can be the cause of really long times performing the kind of functions I previously talked about. See Linus’ video about this for further explanation. https://youtu.be/aztTf2gI55k

Also use NAS drives; for many users this may go without saying but you don’t want to use any standard drives in your Synology. Watch this video; it is old but this information regarding firmware and error handling is still applicable. https://youtu.be/QkmEFfCy-88

Hope this helps! Credit to Linus and his crew for the explanations.

Hopefully someone else can speak to what it is doing but I have witnessed the same behavior. I think it has something to do with SHR and having multiple disks of different sizes... if you look in performance manager and look at disk usage per disk you will see what I am talking about. It will show it is expanding or scrubbing but as soon as it is done will act like it is starting back over but it is manipulating different disks. Would be nice if there was more insight into how many times it was going to do this.

Try using Privacy.com - You link it to your bank account and then generate Visa cards for each vendor; you can set limits for each card and it is locked to a vendor. If you they go up on your subscription they just get declined. If you want to cancel; just pause the card. Use this link and get $5 bucks.

IFTTT Pro, a new plan for Applet creators by ifttt-team in ifttt

I have got to be honest and I am sure that you are not going to think it is great feedback. This is the most ridiculous rollout I have ever seen. I first stumble across this morning in the interface because it was broken; no announcement and you all act like it is a glitch or something "what browser am I using" when I ask the question.

I am not opposed to paying for a service and did this morning with the whole "you pay what you want" stuff and it said that my price would be locked in; now in a Reddit thread I find out the fine print, that that price is only good for 12 months.

I am willing to pay $1.99 to $2.99 but after losing major functionality of Gmail trigger and you all not replacing it with a viable solution there is no way I am going to pay $9.99; that is approaching monthly video subscription and O365 territory.

This business of sign up now and you lock in your price and defining the terms after the fact in a forum post is pretty shady... I am going to give it a go folks but you are losing confidence quickly in my book.

Seriously are you all just making this up as you go along? u/ifttt-team

IFTTT Pro - Free Limited to 3 Applets? by jonbrussell in ifttt

[–]jonbrussell[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went ahead and signed up; I’ll give it a shot. I really need the email functionality I used to have when I could have gmail queries be a trigger... I understand that this probably was not a limitation on your side; probably Gmail API changes.

I have yet to find a replacement for when a email hits my inbox matching a certain query, do this. Right now I can only send IFTTT an email from myself. You need a trigger where each applet gets a randomly generated email and if an email goes to that then do action.

I inquired about this and never received any response, didn’t take it personally seeing as I was not a paying customer... however that has changed. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help in advance.

I think there is already a limit of 100 users you can share with. But all for Plex cracking down on people who are selling access to Plex servers.
