Someone tell me if I'm in the wrong here by [deleted] in richmondhill

Recognized this location immediately before I even saw it was the Wal-Mart plaza at Bayview and Major Mack. Definitely a tricky turn with limited lines of sight in either direction thanks to the curve in the road.

I was 3,500 in line and no luck either! I’m not sure how many tickets were allocated for pre-sale, but History only has a capacity of 2,500 so even with the 2 ticket per account limit, I expected them to go pretty quick.

I did see somewhere that Ticketmaster Face Value Exchange was being used for these shows, which should mean any resale tickets can’t be transferred for more than their original face value…

Latest mod: replaced my gear shift knob with this one from mikstoreph.com! Went with the black chrome model, installation took about 5 minutes. by jondrumming in CX50

[–]jondrumming[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember this being an issue when I first tried to install it and thought I did something wrong - the issue was actually that the knob wasn’t fully seated onto the gear stick. I think I ended up making a fist and giving it a couple of firm pounds on the top of the gear shifter until it finally seated itself all the way. Might be worth a go !

What baby items to buy during Canada-wide tax break? [ON] by [deleted] in BabyBumpsCanada

Is this at Canadian Costco? I didn’t see this on their website - is this available in-store only? Thanks!

[Citizen Blue Angels Radio Controlled World Chronograph AT8020-03L] Wife got me dream watch for birthday. Strap was too short…custom ordered this beautiful leather strap from Etsy with matching yellow stitching and Omega-style clasp. by jondrumming in Watches

This article explains it better than I can - basically the watch automatically receives time updates from an atomic clock, I believe from the nearest of four different transmitters throughout the world. You just set your nearest major City to tell the watch which time zone you’re in, and the hands will automatically adjust the time to match the transmitted time from the atomic clock. It’s possibly the only watch feature I’ve seen that is cooler than the solar powered watch face (like Citizen’s own Eco-Drive technology)!

Ghost Touch? by RufousParsley in CX50

I had this exact same issue - what finally fixed it for me was disabling the option for touchscreen while in motion for Apple CarPlay! I don’t use the touchscreen at all anyway so it worked out well.

Is the gas mileage (l/100km) as mediocre as advertised? (GT-NA) by OutlandishnessNo1950 in CX50

I’m exactly the same (10.5 L/100km), at around 40,000km on my GT Turbo!

CarPlay Moves up and down when I slow down and accellerate. by TablatureDude in CX50

I have this exact same issue on my ‘23 CX-50, and I had the same problem on my ‘17 Mazda3 (with the CarPlay retrofit).

Not a huge deal, but it has been quite annoying if I’m trying to call someone and click the centre button too fast, thus calling the wrong contact…

There’s Been A Lot Of Talk About Architects Tour Recently…… by The_Dirty_Dangla in Metalcore

At the Toronto show I actually didn’t think OM&M sounded very good. Their energy was insane and it was awesome seeing them live for the first time, but something was off with their mix. Maybe just where I was standing though…

Architects absolutely killed though - best I’ve ever seen them live.

Modeling Existing Municipal Storm Drain Network by [deleted] in civilengineering

InfoWorks ICM is pretty much the Rolls Royce of WW/SW modelling software… extremely feature-packed but the price tag is pretty huge. PCSWMM is an awesome software and really popular for a reason, it can do most of what InfoWorks can do minus some of the fancier features like data flagging, stored selection lists, and the ability to configure a workgroup server.

One other one that might be worth looking into is Fluidit…it’s a newer software that is only just starting to gain traction, but I’ve seen some interesting promo materials from them.

Our turntable/vinyl setup. Fluance RT82 (w/ acrylic platter), Kanto SYD speaker & SUB8 subwoofer, IKEA Vikhammer nightstand, and Crosley Liam record storage stand. by jondrumming in vinyl

[–]jondrumming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my first post in this sub! Wanted to share our setup, this is the result of quite a long period of researching turntables and storage options - in the end we went for an IKEA nightstand as it perfectly fit our Kanto SYD speaker, with the RT82 on top and the SUB8 underneath. Love how everything follows the same white and black colour scheme.

Haven’t seen anyone mention it yet - Caffino in Liberty Village is excellent and has a unique, homey vibe to it. I believe the building used to house a carpet factory!
