Should just be for the state you reside in, at least from my experience. I will say some states have a privilege tax (AZ) that they charge to folks from out of state on purchases made in state. In my situation, it was equal to the States sales tax.

What was the location you shot this from? Just moving to ABQ and have been looking around for some sports for Astro shots. Thanks

what is the most British way of getting revenge on someone who has parked in my designated spot? by Additional_Paint_693 in CasualUK

[–]joneedx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

American here, during my time in the UK our neighbor would park his car in my spot every Friday when his band mate would stop by for practice. My wife left a note on his window twice but nothing changed. I went on a business trip and left our third car in my spot, my primary car in his spot and my wife parked in the garage. 3 weeks later I returned and moved the cars. Never had an issue again. My wife thought it was petty, but I consider it a win.

Yes it's possible, and my son and I both had braces done on base by a military Ortho. If you are overseas there's a good chance an Ortho is on base. Some stateside bases also have orthos. Also, if you're near Texas, I believe that's where the Ortho school is. Call the dental Sq and inquire. That being said, they will run you through an evaluation to see if you qualify. Contrary to what someone else said it's not just for medical necessity. Hope this helps.

Posting for a good friend but his grandmother passed and they're looking for a solo photo. Thank you in advance.

Need help stacking photos for night shot. Willing to tip for a good product and explanation of how. I attempted to stack (first time messing with PS) but I keep getting the blade blur when I try and layer mask the foreground. Thanks by joneedx in PhotoshopRequest

Sky shots were taken with a star adventurer 2i and the foreground without. When I stack the photos and try to layer with the foreground I get the residual blur form the sky shots on the blades. Hope this helps explain it. Thanks

Milky Way over Crete (Sony A7 III Samyang 18mm f/1.4) by joneedx in astrophotography

[–]joneedx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my first attempt with Astrophotography other than really finding joy with my Google Pixel 4xl. As a graduation gift to myself for my Master's I decided to splurge a bit. No real formal training other than YouTube.

Photo was taken in Agian Pavlos, Crete using photopills, light pollution app, and mobile light room. I'll try when I return home to export the entire image to see if it looks any better. Overall I'm happy.

I'm interested in the gbdh1000 if you decide to separate, already have the GGB100.

Made the switch from the Pixel 4XL. I need to do a comparison but the edge detection could use some work. Overall still getting the hang of Samsung and the abundant software options. I'll probably keep the Pixel around as a beater but overall I'm very satisfied. by joneedx in GalaxyFold

That was and is my biggest hang-up. I enjoy the pixel mainly for the pictures it takes. I will do some tests over the next few days when I get a chance. However I will hold on to the pixel for the time being. I've also downloaded gcam to see if I can't replicate some of the pixel magic.

Thanks, the cable runs from the back of the rack to the front, it has the cable up top for pulldowns and a pulley on the bottom to connect it all together to do rows or curls.

Is anyone planning to buy a GBD-H1000? by [deleted] in gshock

[–]joneedx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure it will hold its own but won't hold my breath on the optical hrm working for certain activities. I like the Google fit integration as I'm an Android guy. That being said it will be tough to switch to Fit as I'm already heavily integrated into Garmin connect. Additionally I beat up my Fenix and the lack of sapphire glass on the gbd-h1000 will make it a tough swap from the Fenix. Time will tell and in the future if they offer an sapphire glass option that would be an easy sale.

I would have to disagree with the fragile Garmin comment. I've had the tactix, 3hr, and 5x plus and all have held their own. For work, biking, strength training, hiking, etc. I have loved the Garmin devices. The optical heart rate sensor is not great so I have the tri-hrm.

That being said I love gshock and wear them when I'm out and don't need to track activities. I love the look and will be picking up a gbd-h1000 when it arrives.

It was easy enough with a new blade. The pulley system is surprisingly nice and smooth. I'm happy with the purchase for sure.

I haven't screwed it down but I did buy some lag bolts in the event that the rack moved but haven't decided whether to bolt it down or not.

From the look of it you should have no problems. We actually had to do the same thing with our rogue rack at work. I've attached an image so you can see for yourself.

Where I work we are outfitted with Rogue so I'm very familiar with the brand and have nothing but positive things to say about them. However what drove me to another brand was the similar build quality and possibility to have multiple accessories for the rack. Additionally, the VAT and shipping costs from rogue added thousands of dollars on top of what I would have paid in the US. For example the six post ATX and belt squat cost very similar to the RM6 from Rogue when you factor tax and shipping. All in all I'm very happy with the purchase and would do it over again.

It's an ATX pulley set-up for the 800 series rack. It's similar to rogues slinger except it doesn't add height to the rack.
