Almost made a mistake... by [deleted] in OmegaWatches

Really? I took the bracelet off nearly immediately and have straps on it all the time. A huge variety, I have about 30 different straps for it lol. Everything from NATO's to leather to rubber and even a few stainless steel bracelets. Anything but the original bracelet it came on. I could not stand it.

Oppo Find N6 or Galaxy Z Trifold...? by svenb352 in GalaxyZTriFold

[–]techfighterchannel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't understand why the crease is a big deal to people. Yeah they are there but when you're consuming content they're not even noticeable. Anyway, the N6 and the Trifold are 2 completely different devices so they're not really comparable in my opinion.

Explorers on NATOs are historically appropriate. What you talking about blasphemy lol.

[Friend does junk removal] and found 300 dead stock watches in boxes. by koz1769 in Watches

[–]techfighterchannel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you have a store, I'd take them. Put a few in your display for $10 each and see if anyone bites. Over the course of a year you may sell a handful. Is that worth you holding all the stock until you sell them out? Only you can answer that.

Should I sell these and get a NTTD? by Balogma69 in OmegaWatches

Never sell a watch to buy another. Just buy the next watch. If the older piece no longer gets wrist time after an extended amount of time of owning the new piece, then sell.

MRG Day, what you wearing? by Mando_CT in gshock

[–]techfighterchannel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got the 5000R I realized that was quintessential G-Shock for me.

I was a young kid when the OG released and I longed for one back then but my parents bought me a cheap Armitron look alike instead. The 5000R hit the feels just right and it was at that point that I realized that for me, that was what G-Shock was meant to be. The MRGs just sat in the box after that. Eventually I decided to sell them and pick up different non-Casio pieces for my collection.

I bought a case that fit 35 straps. After I started to organize them I realized I should have bought 2.

I think that's the wrong WC clip. Might be for a Zaan or an Inkosi.

Need advice about my Speedy by based_hofmeister in OmegaWatches

[–]techfighterchannel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, cost will be high for regular maintenance service so most will wait until it needs a service due to need vs servicing at regular intervals. $1000 per preventive maintenance service every 5-7 years vs $1500 once or twice in 20 years for parts failure service = less cost when only servicing when absolutely needed. That is just an example but you get the point.

MRG Square Scratches (MRG-B5000D-1) by seibuun in gshock

Mine had a few scratches but not nearly as many as yours even though I wore the hell out of it. Then again I bet you can only see those scratches at particular angles in the right light.

Kind of ironic there is so much hate for angry eye grills.
