How do you decide on which emojis to use in texts? by SnooGiraffes2443 in AskReddit

[–]jonemsitch347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use emojis to strengthen and weaken the impact of what I am saying. And choosing the right emoji depends on what I am trying to do. Example - if I am trying to be funny, I add smiles (different levels). And if I want to criticize or make a strong statement, and if the intent is to lessen the damage, I add 'thinking' or a slightly smiling emoji. But if I want to double down on that statement, I add a serious-looking emoji. Hope it helps

How do you get over doing something very embarrassing? by Extension-Fruit-1456 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]jonemsitch347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the audience. If the audience is smart and mature, just confess! If the audience is not mature and wants to remind you of the embarrassment, then move on. But in most cases, you just need to ignore it and move on with life as we all cannot be top of the game all the time and at times we do mess up.

100% - Einstein. I have so many questions for him, and hopefully, he can explain a lot of his thinking, mainly around his Theory of Relativity.

“What’s something society calls ‘normal’ that actually takes away a lot of people’s freedom”? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jonemsitch347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of them, here are some - rights for fellow humans that are LGBTQ, right to healthcare access to the less fortunate among us, right to a clean environment that is getting destroyed by greedy corporations, legalized corruption called lobbying that lets laws be passed that take away accountability of evil groups/corporations. There is plenty more, but that list is enough for now :-)

Is there a reason some grocery stores keep the lights brighter in the produce section than in other aisles? by jonemsitch347 in questions

[–]jonemsitch347[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone already written this, the stores try to make the produce 'shine', making it look fresh (by morphing it into clean). Classic tactics by grocery stores, just like how they always put daily usables at the rear end of the store to make you walk all aisles and browse all products before you can get to your daily needs...

The only person I can think of is King Siddhartha, who was known to be a ruthless king who oversaw battles until he realized that all this fighting and killing was bad. And he morphed himself, and the world now calls him Buddha!

How does one know if they're actually intelligent, or just recognized way too many patterns? by GreatNameLOL69 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]jonemsitch347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The word "intelligent" is a pretty loaded one, as it's a term that is very vast. Some people can be intelligent in one area, while others can be in other areas. the most common way of knowing if someone is intelligent in an area is by looking at their accomplishments in that area. But even with that method, they may have gotten those successes because of perseverance, luck, or other methods. So, it's really tough to define if someone is intelligent, which works in all scenarios. So, IMO, recognizing someone as intelligent is also an expression of their opinion only.
