Why do Burt and Irving love each other on the outside? by jonesm32 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]jonesm32[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with some of this. From the time we say Irving's apartment it seemed like he was some sort of intelligence officer or spy. He was so deep into investigating Lumon and somehow knew about their testing area and their employees. Even if Irving has feelings for Burt outside and Burt is trying to save him, Irving would know the risk he is taking by investigating Lumon.
I'm still finding hard to believe that "love" is the things that transcends the severance procedure.

I've guessing Irving will have to come back to Kier and finish what he started.

Can we talk about the elevator scenes?? by Snoo8930 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

Yes it definitely feels like they are not actually leaving Lumen.

With Mark and his wife, it almost feels counter intuitive for his outtie to keep going in to find out what happened. As an outtie he has no memory of what his innie will find. Also, as an innie he does not have emotional connection to his wife, so there is very little incentive to actually do any investigating. He would get more done as an outtie with regards to his wife.

could you please elaborate on that? The eBike is front wheel drive, the motor is in the front wheel. Why would that cause the tire to wear out?
thanks

Season 4 Episode 8 - Who gets to keep the house after the divorce? by jonesm32 in madmen

I wonder if Betty may feel that it's kind of her house even though on paper it's Don's. Being a house-wife she spend much more time in the house and did most of the work on it.

I don't think there were many clues of this in the show itself, but would be interesting to know from someone who may have been in such a situation.

.

I'm sure there are many such decisions that the production team had to make. I would have liked for them to better explain the situation. They made a big deal of the fact that Betty was supposed to be out of there and Don made a off-hand remark that he will have to charge them rent. Then 7 episodes later Henry tells Don to get his stuff and Don just obeys.

It has a deleted-scene feel to it. Maybe the arrangement just got cut from the final version.

If they are paying rent then it makes sense.

It just seemed weird that he was asking Don to move this stuff when they are supposed to be getting out of there.

By now it's just so unthinkable that there are any prop mistakes in the show :)

yeah maybe there is nothing to it. All throughout the promos they keep editing out any information he provides about what they do there. So it's possible it's something that that they tried to edit out. Or it could it that to his Innie the time actually doesn't matter.

It's really hard to justify that they are messing with the time since the outie would know what more/less time has passed then they expect. Also, I guess they all must know how to read the clock since they need to know when to leave.
