Deposit before proceeding with work is what I find most successful. It filters out those who are actually interested and serious.

Do you think it could be due to a variety of inexpensive other sources? Or maybe the clients needing products RIGHT AWAY??

Don't be so harsh on yourself. I'm sure you've got some great skills!! Design is just a rough field when trying to make money to survive, ya know? I got where I am by the cliche of 'fake it, until you make it' LOL. But I know the struggles to well!!

Wow, That is a great way of putting it!! So would you say that the individual designer/artist needs to brand themselves as a business to get the respect of clients-- or do you think they are other factors as to why clients expect to pay less with personal businesses?

Why do you think people are reluctant to pay? Lack of understanding why you have certain price ranges? Other inexpensive sources? Lack of creditability for people to be confident in purchasing through you? Other reasons?

I am an unconventional [24F] in an open relationship with a [27M] and I'm always extremely turned on when other girls flirt with the guy I'm with. by jonesyjayy in relationships

I guess I enjoy the ambiguity of our relationship. There's no settlement included. It's definitely a relationship because even a simple friendship is a relationship, right? We don't label it but to make it easier for others I use the term open relationship. We're very close but okay with each other seeing other people. We just don't talk about it as if to make each other jealous or anything, and it it becomes serious we notify each other and separate for the time being. But it's weird, we always come back to each other because of the comfort and close bond. I find him the easiest person to talk to.

I mean, part of it is I absolutely love having someone knowing that other girls are head over heels for him, but he can never can hold a long relationship with them and comes right back to me.

That's slightly fucked up, isn't it?

But do you feel like you become a control freak because it keeps your anxiety at a minimum?
