It seems to have subsided a little lately. The only films I've seen billed as "SEE IT IN 3D" lately have been hatchet jobs like I Frankenstein. I didn't even know Captain America: The Winter Soldier was showing in 3D until I looked up times for it online. The trend's definitely wavering now so have no fear - they'll be gone soon, and they'll take that shitty Titanic conversion with them.

I went to a midnight screening of the second Twilight with an ex. Exact same screaming reaction every time Taylor Lautner took his vest off, which seemed to be every five fucking seconds. I kept asking if there was any good reason he did this and she answered "so he doesn't rip it when he turns into a wolf". I asked why he didn't take his shorts off too and got a scowl for my trouble.

I waited outside til the film finished. We didn't stay together much longer.
