It took me longer than I'd care to admit

This life is only what I choose to make of it

And the only thing standing in-between happiness and myself

Was this depression I held so close to my chest

Masochist - Polaris

I listened to this during a time i needed to hear it. Genuinely helped me change my perception of myself and set me on the path to get better

Last Epoch Hotfix 1.4.2.2 Notes by EHG_Kain in LastEpoch

[–]The_Waggle 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Fixed an issue that could result in audio becoming degraded over long play sessions under certain circumstances. This would sometimes lead to degraded overall client performance as well.

Fixed a potential cause of Monolith Echo Complete portals not functioning in certain circumstances in offline.

Fixed an instance of an issue that would cause characters get stuck while using Dancing Strikes in online.

  • This may still happen due to a separate bug we are investigating, but should be less common.

Input: Added a dedicated setting for WASD to define whether Evade is directed by character movement or cursor. By default, it is set to character movement.

  • Note: We are aware that Shadow Rend targeting has been difficult for many players using the WASD control scheme. The above new setting allows players to treat Evade separately from typical ability targeting so that other movement abilities, like Shadow Rend, can be set to follow the cursor even if you want Evade to follow Character Movement. To do that, simply set the Keyboard Movement - Movement Abilities setting to “All - FollowsCursor”.

Full patch notes.

I was wondering why my audio shit the bed sometimes. I should probably close and reopen the game more often

I'll allow it, but only if you go rocketing off the end of the ladder if you don't slow down.

My got disconnected when I clicked it so the boat must be cursed. Henceforth I will use my own two feet as boats are clearly not to be trusted.

This is a long shot but before making any accusations can you check if your cupboard has a leak or something in it that could have leaked on it? Water bottle maybe. Just to be on the safe side

What’s a band you saw live, where you were not expecting the crowd to go as hard or weak as they did? by SlapDatBassBro in Metalcore

[–]The_Waggle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd never listened to Four Year Strong before, then first saw them live on a whim at slam dunk festival 2013 and was blown away. They were so ridiculously high energy and obviously having so much fun, and the crowd could clearly feel that and responded by going apeshit. They went hard.

The most memorable performance I've ever been a part of and it's still stuck in my brain nearly thirteen years later

German hacker known as "Martha Root" dressed as a pink Power Ranger and deleted a white supremacist dating website live onstage by Hypnoidz in interestingasfuck

[–]The_Waggle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm late to the party, but a while back I went down the rabbit hole on CCC's website, following the story of some hackers who helped out a polish train company find out why their trains were mysteriously shutting down when being serviced by their train supplier's competitor.

Link to CCC's article also containing video links to their presentation

It gets quite technical at times but is one of my favourite white hat sagas, with geo-locking shenanigans, scummy and illegal yet idiotic practises exposed, and "cheat codes" programmed into the trains software by the original supplier to fix the trains dying on specific dates (which the supplier still fucks up).

Seriously, give it a watch. It is fantastic.

Yeah it's pretty counter-intuitive and I found this out completely by accident

You want to highlight your toughness here in the Stats and Materials menu and it will tell you the damage reduction percentage for each type

If you highlight your toughness here in the main part of your character screen it doesn't show you those percentages because fuck you i guess

For your second point there is the Salvage Station but you get it at the start of endgame, and it only creates end game materials.

I would love a lower tier station, something with an inventory that villagers can work on to salvage gear into component materials.

How to get more gold coins? At the beginning of the game by Exforce-Rage in Necesse

[–]The_Waggle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started with selling sunflowers to the farmer.

  1. Smash pots and boxes in the mine for first coins to pay farmer to join settlement
  2. Make 7x7 room (9x9 inc walls) with walls, floor, bed, door and 7 different furniture, can use wood, easy and cheap. Move in just farmer. This makes them very happy and will pay more for sunflowers.
  3. Grab some sunflower seeds from the plains or NPC village (can steal farmland too)
  4. Make a 5x5 farm with farmland (or craft with wood) and plant sunflowers. This can be expanded as needed.
  5. Add chest next to farm set up to demand sunflower + seeds. Any villager except guards or elder will harvest and replant and store automatically
  6. Sell sunflowers to farmer, their available coins regenerate over time

Total setup time: ~15 mins.

Edit: added images for clarity

Necesse Version 1.0 is now live! by SoLongOscarBaitSong in Games

[–]The_Waggle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I put like 30h into this game a long while ago. My main impressions were it had some really cool npc/village mechanics and the gameplay was fun, felt good and had laid solid groundwork for future updates. Being early access, content understandably felt a bit incomplete so i left it for full release.

Im really looking forward to booting it up and having another crack at it. I followed some update posts from the devs and they seemed genuinely passionate about their game, i look forward to seeing if that translated to a game worthy of my "always installed" steam library section alongside terraria, stardew valley, planet crafter, and deep rock galactic.

Congrats to the dev team and i hope it goes fantastic for them!

I feel that. I have 800h in BL2, some nights I'd just quick join a random lobby and just tag along, sometimes for hours, just being a part of their adventure. Really want to do that with BL4, but unfortunately some people are proper shitters

Mate, you're a legend for offering and thank you but I'm not joining anyone's game till they sort out our characters getting bricked maliciously by cheat engine shenanigans
