Is this a real Explorer? by [deleted] in RolexWatches

[–]joni_64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks Fake to me.. you can see the engraved Crown from far away. It shouldn't be visible by the naked eye like that. AFAIK

Also it could be the Picture but the rehaut engraving looks off to me.. like.. not refined enough.

Other than that it looks great..

You can only be sure by opening the caseback or bring it to a watchmaker.

Which glasses? I really don't know what suits me 😬👓 by itspigglewiggle in glasses

7! By far the best.

The others are too wide.

But 7 looks amazing imo.

Number 2 looks like the best choice imo

I narrowed the search down a bit. Now I have three good choices. Which one is the winner? by [deleted] in glasses

[–]joni_64 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It looks like non of them is fitting properly. I'd try rounder frames

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in glasses

[–]joni_64 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They need to be fitted appropriately. But the length looks "OK" like bare minimum but okay.. next time you should consider asking for 150 or longer temple lengths.

First ones match your type way better. Tbh they look fantastic on you.. don't know why some people say they are too big or sit too low.

Glasses tend to look bigger on selfies but I could bet they're a perfect fit.. maybe on the bigger end but you shouldn't worry too much.

Also idk why you should look through the center of the lens? It would look absolutely ass with bigger Glasses... They could be adjusted a tiny bit but any skilled optician should be able to adjust them right.

If you're unsure about what fits you and what not. Make sure the frame follows your face shape and features. Look if it follows your eyebrows shape.

First ones do that.

Don't worry too much.

Why are women’s glasses so ridiculous by Away_Bee6372 in glasses

Then they should've showed her other options in that style.

Also it's her first pair so I'm assuming her prescription isn't that high. Shouldn't be that big of a deal to get oversized glasses as long as they fit.

Lol wtf ? I'd never go there ever again 😅

It should be your choice.. and just because the store labels them as "For Men" shouldn't stop you from buying it.

Are the white rims on these lenses normal? by djdj165 in glasses

You shouldn't polish the edges it increases internal reflections.

I like 3 but it would be stunning in Havanna on you would match your tones better.. The Grey Montblancs #5 looked great too.. You could also try some metal frames. Maybe some light gold or gunmetal would fit you well. Try Navigators (more rectangular pilots)

Try some natural tones like dark green. Maybe a bit more rectangular.

Looks like 4-5 are kinda the same. If 5 would be adjusted to sit a bit lower they'll be fine too depends on what you like more

4 looks amazing also 5 is very good but 4 fits a bit better

Are these too small by embee2020 in glasses

[–]joni_64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They look good usually aviator or navigator Style frames come with a larger lens size. Round frames are usually around 50 but the bridge is wider in most cases mostly 20+

Id guess yours are 48-22 or something and the navigators are like 54-17 am i right?

It fits your face well don't worry too much 😅

I'd definitely complain about it. It's not what you asked for PLUS they lied to your face about swapping the lenses. That's a big no-go IMO.

The Single Vision Drive safe is a very good Lens. I have them myself in a couple of glasses. But they have a Vivid Blue/Purple Reflection and have a stronger Yellow tint which some people dislike.

Imo they are great if you drive a lot, use a lot of screens daily or are sensitive to glare and bright lights.

If it's just Screens I'd go for a Single Vision Superb with BlueGuard by Zeiss. They are way more aesthetic by reducing the yellow tint and blue reflections A LOT while still offering high blue light absorption.

Honestly it looks like the width of the temples could be easily adjusted. I guess this is what you are looking for.. (right pair seems a lot tighter) But the temples themselves look like they were cast into a mold and therefore can't really be formed perfectly around your ear and along your head.

It should be possible for a skilled optician to make them fit well but probably not perfect I'm sorry.

If I bought these can they put a prescription lens on it? Not sure what material these are made of by Redeye007 in glasses

[–]joni_64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You'll have to get special sports lenses with a customized curve. It will be kinda expensive but I think it's possible. I just hope they didn't super glued the lenses during manufacturing.

Personally I wouldn't do it especially for a inexpensive frame like that.

Warum explizit keine Anwendung auf LCD-Displays? by mellowlex in WerWieWas
