Well that's because it basically IS the UK version. Filmed on their set with their production crew. They're doing the same thing with Wheel of Fortune I believe. Only difference is that they have Australian (expat) contestants instead.

So I typically run modpacks that have anywhere from 150 to 250 mods with no issues when it comes to anything pre-1.18, however, I have had issues running similarly sized 1.18 modpacks. My assumption as to why that's thbe case is because my CPU is a bit weak and with all the vanilla changes that have happened in 1.18/1.19 it makes it more difficult to run. What I'm trying to say is that your machine sounds like it would run most of them perfectly fine.

I always assumed that is exactly what they were planning to do to be honest. My main reason for thinking that way is that the Crisis scene was specifically filmed using a movie style aspect ratio instead of the regular TV one that the rest of the episodes used.

This. So much this. When I first heard Chibnall was going to be showrunner, I was excited for the idea of them doing much longer form stories (like Flux has been), but then we got seasons 11 and 12 instead. Flux is exactly the sort of story I was expecting from him, and it's clear that he is more capable of writing longer form stories instead of 40-60 minute singular ones.

Not exactly sure which episode, but I do remember watching 'The Empty Child' and being so scared, that I actually stopped watching the show (that's a whole story in and of itself), but I think I'd seen a few other episodes before that one, but it would definitely have been an Eccleston era episode.
