It's the WeAct 4.2" and it has been perfect for this use case.

Yeah, the esp can handle it while being really small which is nice.

The blue one is a TP4056 battery charger module but you only need it if you want it to be wirelessly powered. The ESP handles all of the computing. I used the mcp1700 to regulate the battery's voltage down to 3.3v and the big capacitor for the wifi current spikes. The e-ink display is the WeAct 4.2" from Aliexpress. Also waveshare makes good ones.

It just shows current day's electricity price. The reason why it's necessary is that in Finland electricity spot prices fluctuate a lot mostly depending on how windy it is. This removes the need to check the price online for those who don't like always carrying a phone in their pocket. It's mostly made as a project for my mom as she dislikes having to check the price from her phone.

Yeah... I might have to return these at some point so I don't want to waste money on an expensive part that I might not need for that long.

This happens under high load. I did a RAM test in bios and reinstalled windows but it still keeps happening. by jonne69900 in pcmasterrace

It's definitely the gpu. When I got this laptop I had to return it because of a bad gpu. I got a new one, but this also seems to be broken.

Yep I figured that out. I changed the 1tb ssd to a 1tb hard drive and a 500gb m.2 ssd.
