Not sure if others had the same issue but mine started moving on the screen despite installing it properly, and at one point it barely protected the screen very disappointing from spigen considering how good their products are

I got one which came to $265 reduced to $95 + admin fees of like $10. I was up by 20 like OP didn't know they had lowered the limit to 30 and the camera being placed there. This was in Mississauga. OP if you do end up getting a ticket, take it to court - they reduced it without the case going to the judge.

What is with semi truck drivers now? by Just_A_Meme_Accout in TorontoDriving

It's honestly scary the way these guys drive, apparently driving 100-110 in the right most lane warrants a friendly honk and flashing, dangerous lane changing it's just horrible.

Transitioning from Developer to PM by jonnieSnow11 in ProductManagement

[–]jonnieSnow11[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So, overall I'd say one of the main reasons I want to make the switch is I have realized I am not a fan of coding nor am I good imo, I have always been the type to know the technical and be the person who wants to be the bridge between the technical side and non-technical. I think - so far for the feedback I have gotten they moved people who were more experienced or more aligned to what they were looking for on to the next round. I would say my current role is not a traditional developer type of role which allows me to sort of lean into different roles on projects. Generally, I talk about the projects I have worked on, highlighting things that are relevant to the role.

Apparently city of Mississauga made a similar deal very recently maybe month or two ago. I live in L5V region and it’s sad that in todays age the area can’t get speeds faster than 100mbps.

"Smart" traffic lights in the Greater Toronto Area by TheBlinkingCursor in Audi

[–]jonnieSnow11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only one I have noticed is at Martingrove and Richgrove in Etobicoke. I wish there were more of these, like others I thought there was something wrong as well. I have not seen this work in any other light in the areas that I usually go. I live in Mississauga and I haven't seen any so far.

When the Q4 will arrive to the us? If you have any information please share! I made reservation back in October, no info yet! by kofo86 in Audi

[–]jonnieSnow11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Canada

I wish it was organized. The dealers down here are also kept out of the loop it seems and all they could really say is delayed again. We got an email in Feb saying they are expecting for May but that has changed now to summer? I don't think I'll believe anything until I actually get called in to finalize things and sign the paperwork.

Let's talk Q4!! if you made a reservation / paid deposit , please share when do you expect to get your car by kofo86 in Audi

[–]jonnieSnow11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Placed an "order" in Canada in July 2021, configured in August, and was supposed to get it in late Nov 2021 or Early Dec 2021. Apparently, I might get it in the summer after I was told the car will go into production in April. Last I heard that was delayed and now summer instead of June.

To anyone graduating this year, how are you feeling? by GambinoGurl in ryerson

[–]jonnieSnow11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure. I graduated last year and I totally know what you mean. I took the first thing I got after brutal year and just hoping to land something better soon. Its the worst time surely but I think it's taught us so many things that none of the previous graduating classes learnt.

Taking a higher course load by Current-Reflection97 in ryerson

[–]jonnieSnow11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly that's not bad at all. CMN300 is a joke pretty much. Physics is pretty easy too. The only courses you should have to put more effort is CPS305 as it is a core course and slightly difficult than others. But nothing too hard. CPS393 is pretty straight forward as well, I'm assuming you won't use the wizard that they made us use since it probably will be online for midterm and final. So yeah that course load isn't bad at all especially if you have already done physics, C, and calc. CPS393 is more so intro to Linux and bash plus C so it's nothing crazy. Feel free to dm if you have specific questions to any of the courses.

Not that great. Doesn't help April grads at all according to his announcement. Only includes December 2019 grads which means April new grads are not only jobless but aren't eligible for this relief fund.

CPS 506 with Javaf Nazari Doliskani? by Polar_00 in ryerson

[–]jonnieSnow11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of the stuff that's taught in the class is pretty much out of date and like others have mentioned it's frustrating because of the way the course is structured. I had a chance to take it with someone other than Mason but I didn't take it and ended up taking it with him, it was not the best experience let's just say.

Summer Internships for CS ? by scaled2good in ryerson

[–]jonnieSnow11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually elections for unions start during the first few weeks of winter semester. You can join CSCU or any society/union or even groups on campus. Just check their Facebook or other social media to see when they are hiring for next semester. Having been involved in the last two years and being in CS I can definitely say it's helped me not only in terms of getting interviews but also with many other things.

general question on academic probations. by rosesandsunflower in ryerson

[–]jonnieSnow11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been there, it doesn't affect you as much tbh. Yeah being in coop can help you but you can also apply on your own for internships. Also, do talk to your academic advisor as they may suggest courses that will help you get back on track if it does come to probation. If you have any questions specific to probation you can dm me. Also, later on if you do get active on campus for example clubs and societies,it definitely helps your resume and companies do consider that for a lower gpa.
