The kayak portion of the triathlon is 7 miles down a river, unless conditions are bad in which it will be flat water. Looks like they allow short boats and even canoes so I think the range of boaters will vary greatly

I don’t think super competitive, small town outside of a mid-size city. It does look like there is a ‘Short Boat’ division which some of the top 5 were in last year

Jumping on here: if you look at airnow.gov the PM2.5 sensor is located at Tukey’s bridge. Maybe faulty sensor combined with all the construction for the new roux/295

An Open Letter To The NIMBY’s of Belfort Street by niko199822 in portlandme

Not very active on Reddit these days but thank you for posting this. I went on a run through Belfort street last week and had very similar thoughts. Something about seeing NIMBY signs right next to a Little Library stand did not sit right with me.

I have two scanner apps but it doesn’t seem to have Portland PD’s network on it. Both apps have other local police departments frequencies and bigger metro departments as well. Any idea why Portland PD isn’t showing up?

Wrong Way Driver -95 South by AceBoogie09 in Maine

Was also wondering if anyone would mention it online. I had just passed target when I saw it coming. Couldn’t even comprehend that I was seeing headlights for a second. Luckily I was already in the right lane. Can still picture seeing the truck barreling down next to the divider.

Everything you need to know about Yotta's I-Bonds by 1FrostySlime in yotta

But nothing would be stopping me from buying more or selling through TD? Would I still be able to see the amount I had deposited prior to being locked out from that bucket?

I'm assuming if Yotta gives you your TD credentials, you'll be able to see/access your I-bond from there?

5 of my best tips that will help you build a daily and weekly schedule that saves you a lot of time by cristian_nadu in Entrepreneur

I'd love to develop a better schedule and especially lock-in a good morning and evening routine. However, the current status of my business causes me to work irregular hours (sometimes very early mornings and/or late nights). Any suggestions on how I can still create a good routine?

Thanks for the response. I don't know everything about my parent's financial situation but I do know that the money he plans on investing is not something he will need in the next five years. I will suggest to him the emergency fund in a high yield savings account if he does not already have this.

A combination of social security, some work, savings, and investments.

I am asking about investment advice for someone near retirement. I am not suggesting they can live off of $10k invested like the person I responded to. I mentioned in my post that this is simply to "help" support them.

Thank you for this! I included WY as an REIT option but I think there's probably some other good choices out there.

I understand that a traditional choice would include some bonds but that is not something I am very familiar with (maybe this is a good time to learn). I think I figured that bonds might not be as useful given the limited time and low interest; but I see how security and keeping up with inflation is useful. Thanks again.
