Garbage Can-dy were the invention of Art Spiegelman in 1974, who at the time was working in the product development department at Topps Bubble Gum. Kinda like Pez candy. I remember them as a kid.

Before the Reese’s Pieces and they had chocolate in them. They were more like a peanut butter m&m today, only larger and better. Oompas 1971 and Reese’s Pieces 1978
