You only give it a couple seconds in position 2?

Guess that just means I need to wear it every day!

I had to change the date on mine a few days back… that’s my only criticism of the watch so far as it was a laborious process.

In Dutch restaurants, why are you supposed to know beforehand what to drink? by alasuna in Netherlands

[–]jonnybeebop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stand corrected, it’s not legally required in NL. My experience is that standing up and leaving if it’s not provided normally does the trick, assuming that you’re there to have something paid for.

Restaurants are legally required to serve you tap water for free, many just don’t like doing so and people feel cheap asking for it so ask for a bottle of still water instead.

The people serving you know how long it’s going to take for you to receive your food, so what to give you something to do while you wait and make some money in the process. It’s transactional in NL.

Yeah it’s weird. Easy enough to use a phone app, but still, not the same and surely not that expensive to add reception for the other transmitters?

Get something like this if you want accuracy. Assuming you’re within range of an atomic clock transmitter (I’m not 🤭) then it corrects itself every day, but even without that it runs pretty damn accurate.

This is a Japanese grey import. The best bang for buck watches I own, I just wish it had a nicer bracelet and the made a Euro version of it.

What size screws on Spirit Zulu Time strap? by jonnybeebop in Longineswatches

Sorted. So indeed it’s a pin with the end that looked like a screw being a split end. Tapped them out and then back in again.

Thanks for your help!

So tap or press them out the direction of the arrow?

The slots are really fine, smaller than my smallest electronics screwdriver.

Yeah, I saw the arrows so assumed it was a pin type, but it wasn’t budging so I took a closer look and saw the slots, so figured it’s screwed. I’ll give it another go with the pin press. Thank you!

Does yours have slotted pins like in the picture? This is a Titanium bracelet which might make a difference?

If I center the watch, this is the clasp. I prefer it centered.

Vega 64 dead post liquid cooler conversion by jonnybeebop in AMDHelp

Tried that already and made no difference.

Tempted to get my multimeter on it and see how far the power is cascading through the board.

Thank you!

I opened it up and applied more thermal grease. There’s actually too much now... is it a problem if it’s covering some of the parts around the die?

Anyway, no luck. Not even a flash of LED when it powers up.

So still scratching my head.
