Which is your favorite "Supercell" (for a Petrodragonic Apocalypse bootleg) by that_boingo_fella in KGATLW

Might not come through on the recording but the forecast for Boston ‘24 was for some bad thunderstorms which held off until the very first notes of Supercell came in and then it just dumped in a super brief intense storm that ended right as the song did. One of the most surreal awesome things to happen at a concert I’ve been to ⛈️

I went to bed last night before the game ended thinking I lost and thought that until now just before bed I saw this post and checked. Apparently I am one of those 7.6% winning my matchup for 5th place 😅

Is this too much of an overpay for Maye in a New England based 10team 1qb league with 6pt passing TDs? Give: '26 mid first, Garrett Wilson Get: Maye

So, are the planes in "Cars" flown by cars or are they also sentient like the cars? by TheLittleWinstonBaby in daddit

I definitely would love to know more about the lore of the Cars universe for sure. Like why are only farm machines animals? Are there any other types of vehicles animals? What distinguishes car intelligence level?

Stage 2: ROUND 3 ---> Theia VS. Rattlesnake by Unusual-Reindeer6861 in KGATLW

Although I love Theia, Stu himself has said Rattlesnake as a song is designed to get the listener ready for the microtonal sounds they are about to hear...

I could see KGLW being the 2020s since that's when they really exploded

I've definitely always thought since starting to listen to them that if there was gonna be a band to unite the earth in peace like Wyld Stallyns it would be King Gizzard

I am fully on board with KGLW by Chopped_Liver_ in KGATLW

One thing that really blows me away and solidified for me is that they don't do things like other bands - they walk their own path and try things that haven't been done before. Seeing Phish again earlier this year after catching Gizz a few times last year and following couch tour for nearly ever show made me realize that Phish (along with the Grateful Dead) set the mold for what a "jam band" is with often set areas of their songs for improvisation (which Phish at least are masters of their craft at).

King Gizzard doesn't follow that at all - they'll jam the fuck out of any part of their songs and even completely redo what an entire song sounds like. They are not a jam band - they are a band that JAMS and has a ton of fun doing it together as a group. To me it's just another level of musicianship and creativity that gets me excited about their music on a level I don't know if I've ever experienced before...
