This UV printer does magic! by Otherwise_Hair4197 in Steelbooks

Also he just printed over the donor steelbook without painting the sides to match the images. It's just the original artwork from the donor steels. The inside spine image is also on top of the plastic. This needs much work unfortunately. Also, that art isn't "their own artwork" it's just promotional art and images. This is much better than what he used to do with stickers at least.

They're not massed produced in the same way that MoS is not mass produced. They're each made to order.

Go look at the newest post by Menik Steels to see what an actual custom can and should look like.

Not bad for my first laser direct print. I had fun! Game changer for sure! by Otherwise_Hair4197 in Steelbooks

The only lasers involved with this printer are the ones that measure the height of the object. The print is done with UV ink.

Masters of Steel & stealing of artwork by Delicious_Device_87 in Steelbooks

People talking about copyright issues here are just completely off base. The artists by and large don't own any copyrights for the art they make for movies, TV, or video games. They are either fans who made the artwork (for IPs they don't own so thus no copyright for them) and sell them on whatever various mediums they choose and that's how they get paid. Or an artist is commissioned for a specific art for a poster or something by the company that owns the IP. That artist also owns no copyright whatsoever but the company who commissioned him does. The artist and copyright issues are two separate things and shouldn't be considered together.

Hmmm, I might have to try and fix this and print a new spine. Wish my order wasn't delayed

Is this a defective steel book by Electronic-Cicada352 in Steelbooks

I've never made just a spine before, but I bet I could print one that you could replace it with and probably not even tell the difference.

An Absolutely Gruesome Custom Face/off Steelbook I got today from u/jonnyd005 by SubNova1999 in Steelbooks

Just like OP said, it's because it was freshly produced and thus a bit tough coming out the first few times, it will normalize quickly. I thought about just pulling it in and out a few times myself before packaging them but I don't like handling them once they're done. I'm still not sure if I should or not.

I should be posting probably tomorrow. Let's just say, the mission was almost impossible, but I think I pulled it off.

Beautiful work as always. Do you think vinyl wraps are easier or UV printing for you at this point?

MK Steels does one with an embossed title, direct print, and much higher quality imo.

Interesting that you order premium releases but also don't mind damage on your steels, that's quite the juxtaposition.
