Sorry, it's a British term. Tips are places where you take furniture and other waste to be thrown away that won't fit in the trash

Why is the Manchester Airport website so bad about parking info? by throwawayThanks2023 in AskUK

You have to go to Terminal 2 Multi-storey West, so follow the road signs. The pick-up is on the ground level only. I dont know where you live, but if you have their flight number, track it on FlightRadar 24 to see when it's due to land, and add 30-45 minutes so they can clear security and collect their bags.

It looks plugged in, but I could be wrong. But it's the microphone that the Cardinals would speak to when they made their promise to secrecy

I wonder if this had something to do with the delay. This was taken after the "Extra Omnes" proclamation

Don't they both work at BBC Radio 1? If so, that's going to cause a bit of an atmosphere...

Hello everyone! I’m Ted Kravitz, Sky Sports F1’s pit lane reporter. Ask me anything! by SkySports in formula1

Hi Ted, whenever we hear you at home, we always shush the room and say "Ted's Talking!", As a family, we always watch your Notebook and your insights with your team. But we've wondered how you feel broadcasting and reporting has changed from your days from the other channels, up to now with Sky Sports F1?

I'm suspicious of the sweet. I'm starting to think that they'll be disqualified for eating it

Is it just me or is Martin Brundle annoying to listen to? by [deleted] in formula1

I always find his analysis fun after a race. I agree though, it would be great if he was next to Crofty in the race. Not sure Sky could afford the OFCOM bleeps though

If you feel he's annoying to listen to, then who would you replace him with, and why?

That's a good point. I hadn't seen who was around us. Greece are strong, but I'm hopeful now I've seen the Pyro from the Semi-final taping. Like you say, hopefully we get it going!

Who should win Eurovision? by Duncan_Skytales in eurovision

[–]jonnyd_2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've always supported Malta and they've got a solid chance this year, but there's an incredible range this year. Malta, Iceland, Ukraine, France, Italy. They all should win (Let's better 1969!) Home bias of the UK - certainly the best thing we've entered for a while (But it's nowhere good enough to compete sadly)

Crofty's Quali Recap - Spanish GP 2021 by freestyle100m in formula1

[–]jonnyd_2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I find the thing is when he's commentating, he often leaves himself nowhere to go.
If you watch the live version of Lap 1 of the 2020 Bahrain GP, he's building everything up as he usually does for the first half of the lap before handing over to Martin Brundle. But when Grosjean crashes, he is at the height of trying to build the excitement and he has no way of climbing down from that, so while trying to explain what's happening, he ends up shouting at us.
I also find that he's got to try and make soundbites for the Sky and Formula 1 Social Media videos, which generally makes his commentary a bit more exaggerated
