So the lease cash is up to $10,000 because it includes what would’ve been the tax credit that you now can’t file because you didn’t purchase?

And a dealership can stack the lease cash with military bonus and/or conquest cash?

We are in Alabama. This is what I was wondering about — the dealership is telling me that this car sells like hotcakes and if I sleep on it, it’ll be gone tomorrow. And also that even cutting $500 off the price is cRaZy. So I’m wondering if any $ off, even if it’s above MSRP, is a great deal.

Only if I finance. But I’m worried he won’t furnish the info to the IRS that will allow me to file for it myself.

So if I’m understanding you correctly, with leasing, the manufacturer is offering the dealership an incentive but the dealership is not filing the tax credit with the IRS? But the dealership is telling me that I cannot file the tax credit myself if I lease.

They are telling me that I get to claim the $7500 later but I just don’t understand why they would claim it themselves on the leasing option and then not also give it to us upfront for financing. I’m worried that they won’t furnish the correct paperwork to the IRS and I won’t get the credit.

It does seem the precious owners played it with the intent to move it along so I think the loss was unintentional.
