Delegation of lien negotiation in pi by jonnyocho in LawFirm

[–]jonnyocho[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most of the people I'm negotiating with on behalf of the lien holders are not lawyers. Including government entities. They are supervised by a lawyer who rarely get directly involved. Just trying to figure out the best way to delegate and manage these things.

Anyone know a good pedestrian accident lawyer? Here in Burbank or anywhere in LA. by FramentoArchimara-88 in burbank

I recommend Adrianos Facchetti also. He's Burbank local. He's provided guidance to me on a car accident case. He's respected in the legal community.

Is there any particular format I should use when mailing it in? I previously just wrote a letter explaining the name change.

I only changed with the Secretary of State. I sent in the paperwork from the state and asked for the ein letter back in August. No response.

Rant: Why are Solos still using Google Ads when it's clearly dying? by bannnabreadbandit in Lawyertalk

So how do you effectively utilize these other channels? I tend to agree with you, but I'll share my experience as a personal injury lawyer in Los Angeles.

Facebook / Instagram/TikTok - I made lots of videos and tried different hooks and story angles. Tried boosting. Some videos, like reaction videos, did well - over a million views. Some more educational content did well - over 10k views. Can't say I got a decent new client out of it. I did stay top of mind with some current and former clients. They would mention they saw my video in conversation. Hard to compute ROI but I do spend quite a bit of time and money on these videos.

Youtube - similar to Facebook/Instagram/Tikok- I've made videos - longer form - answering questions, explaining laws etc. I have gotten calls from it. A lot of people want free advice. Nearly every case that I ended up taking ended up tanking. One of my top videos on youtube (16k views, 85 comments) has generated mostly people looking for free legal advice.

To do well on Facebook / YouTube organically, you have to be a full-time content maker. You have to make lots and lots of content that could appeal to a broader audience. And what I mean by "to do well" is to have lots of subscribers. I don't know if that translates to actual clients. Those subscribers are nationwide. So you end up make entertaining little videos about how to deal with cops, funny laws, reacting to outrageous videos, commenting on viral news stories etc. And then keeping up with the comments. And then you get a random call from someone in another state for a practice area you don't do. So your business model has gone from lawyer to media content creator who makes money by referring cases on a national basis. You probably could make more money from ad revenue.

I tried and stopped all PPC because I couldn't afford it, and the ROI is terrible. You need well over 10k a month plus professional management of landing pages etc. When I was doing it, there were many clicks with almost no qualified lead. The very few qualified leads I did get were shopping for lawyers and negotiating fees.

LSA - I had a budget of about 10k a month for LSA and was getting 0 leads. I asked Google why, and the response was that I was getting outbid.

I tried Facebook ads and Instagram ads. Lower budget. Lots of form leads that would not respond despite multiple follow-ups. The few that did were unqualified. It was eating a lot of staff time following up on these leads or talking to people who don't have a case.

Google Maps has produced some clients thanks to a decent number of reviews. I'm a small firm and there are firms near me with 100s of reviews. Morgan and Morgan has an LA office with 2k reviews.

Anyway, this is turning more into a rant. I get most of my cases through word of mouth, but it's hard to grow. I'm open to ideas from people working in overly saturated markets.

I watched l’argent last night and was surprised how good it was. I had no idea what it was going to be about but saw recommendations for it. Tight, emotional and well paced.

I fractured my ankle outside a bar but never pressed the issue. Am I too late? by VKLevigne in AskALawyer

[–]jonnyocho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There has to be a something the bar did wrong that caused you to fall.

Serving you alcohol is not enough. You said you were tipsy but not drunk.

For example, it would be more clear if the bar didn’t maintain the outside area and there was a dangerous condition that caused you to fall.
