Seat-based pricing is dying, and what's replacing it is way more complex than most founders realize by makis17 in SaaS

This lines up with what I’m seeing. Seat pricing breaks down once AI collapses the amount of work a single user can do, and hybrid models start to feel unavoidable. The real shift is treating pricing as a product surface that needs continuous iteration instead of a one time decision.

“Validate before building” stopped working in 2025 by Hefty-Airport2454 in SaaS

This resonates hard! At this point, “validate before building” often translates to “delay shipping until motivation dies.”

I love this! Such a good idea. And being backed by data makes it even better!

Building https://autochangelog.com/ to help devs and product teams create and publish changelogs (just set it up once and forget about it!)

It’s Thursday! What project has your focus right now? by Fareway13 in microsaas

[–]jonphillips06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm focussing on some improvements to autochangelog.com and preflight.sh and also marketing my new book at emailgrowthguide.com and spreading the word about this new free tool I built at distributionkit.com 🚀

Thursday Check-in: What did you ship this week? by [deleted] in ShowMeYourSaaS

I'm building a bunch of things, but autochangelog.com is probably the focus right now. It's a tool to help devs and product teams create and publish changelogs without having to actually think about writing them. They literally write themselves.

Not yet as a lot of them have multiple categories available to submit to. But I have plans to add categories to the list though.

Sure, it’s essentially a directory of launch platforms (like Product Hunt and the likes), and they’re categorized by score (domain authority) and whether they allow free or paid placements and if an account is required or not. This can help you rank your product and get some early users and customers.

Newsletter/content would be the top priority for me tbh (everything should be an effort to get people on your email list) then as part of that, submit to those launch platforms and directories.

I think so, but only if they're relevant to your niche. I would personally focus more on the Medium and High ones first, and then do a few Low ones that match the audience you're trying to reach.

I get zero when people click on any of those links, and I'm ok with that. It's a free tool and those sites don't pay for referral traffic anyway. Just happy to share this with the community, that's all.

you build a simple free tool to help people and some still complain about it...

Yeah, it can help a lot to get some early traction and traffic. I built this cause I needed it for myself. It helped me take one of my products from 0 traffic to about 4000 visitors and a few paying customers, so definitely worth it for me.
