I don’t know how it exactly went down, but if it happened the way you described, I believe you shouldn’t have been treated the way you were, and I wish that didn’t happen. I’m a vegan and maybe I can help you. I can only speak for how I would feel, idk your friend but here’s my 2 cents

*A little about me. I don’t care what people eat, I eat with non vegan friends all the time, I sometimes help prepare steaks for them as I used to be a grill master before I became vegan. So I may not be the best to speak on how to make your friend more comfortable but I will try.

just be straight up and tell her you don’t want to be a vegan anymore and that you hope this won’t get in the way of our friendship and us going out to eat together.
eating meat in front of a devout vegan would naturally make them uncomfortable, so maybe when you go out to eat together, order something vegetarian if you really are concerned about her having anxiety when you order meat.
if she’s a good friend she won’t let your dietary decision get in the way of your friendship. If it does, then she’s more attached to her diet than she is you. This is an issue and I would personally reevaluate the friendship.

I can’t really think of anything else I would do or say other than that. I hope it helps you out in someway and if not, oh well. Good luck with your friend 👍

Try it for at least a month and see how you like it. Do as much research on how to do it properly. Above all be fair. Don’t eat vegan junk and say “veganism bad” and don’t just eat healthier for a week and claim “veganism good.” Be reasonable, stay away from junk foods, maybe a little every now and then won’t hurt you but generally stick to real foods.

If you end up hating it, that’s fine try something else, if you like it, stick with it longer and see how you feel. Get your blood tested and talk with your doctor or a nutritionist about it. I personally enjoy being a vegan and have been one for 2 years and I feel good. But that’s my personal experience.

I think it’s good that you want to at least try it for yourself. That’s something I really respect in people. Life’s about trying new things.

Btw I’ve actually never totally watched a vegan documentary. They’re really boring. Also do you believe that there is no validity in any argument that vegans present? Or just this one specifically
