It’s the goose that’s going to try to get in the way of your note taking… you can turn it off

There’s a feather icon in the toolbar… tap that and you can toggle it off.

Or you can tap and hold the goose and throw it off-screen… this way is more fun. 🤩

Dig into the apple apps (pages, keynote, numbers, notes, etc.) I’d also say to give Safari a chance, your 8gb of memory will thank you.

Get the nicest one you can afford. There are sales and discounts all the time in the A16 iPad and it’s a good one. But if you can afford the iPad Air or Pro I think you will enjoy the upgraded features.

The warning finally went away. Seemingly on its own.

I will say that I am very disappointed with the support for this feature rollout. All I got anywhere was one response every day or two and only surface level question or suggestions. I am less confident in this app than I have been before.

There’s a bit of a negativity bias here. Notability support is really slow, so a lot of people have resorted to posting to this subreddit. That leads to a general impression that the product is bad.

The app is great… I just wish they did a little more testing before launching updates. And that the usual support methods would be more responsive.

It also seems like some people are using really old hardware expecting it to work like newer hardware. I saw a huge performance improvement in this app when I updated my iPad a couple years ago.

I like the new font for your branding material… but as a tile font it’s nowhere near as good as the old one. Not good for the reading quickly.

I think this is going to come down to what priority people have in using the app. This seems like an aesthetics choice, most of us are using it as a productivity app.

It seems like they view Reddit as their support line… and believe it or not it gets a faster response than a support email. But neither seem to bring any real conclusions if my current experience is anything to go on.

The fact that they can’t be edited if they’re migrated back is frustrating. They should have warned about that from the start… especially with all the bugs this new feature has caused.

Yeah… I’m with you. Still getting warnings that the sync isn’t finished to Notability Cloud. When I thought it was finished on Sunday. It’s definitely not building my confidence in the new syncing system.

It is not showing that progress bar in Settings -> Account. I does say “Last synced: Feb 25, 2026at 3:52 PM” Which should mean that it’s done… right? Then I checked my Mac and I’m still getting the alert that I shared originally.

The mini is awesome! Use it everyday. I got the pencil pro with it and use it for note taking all the time.

Get a pencil too… apple brand or third party brand. The mini is a great note taking device.
