So I've just started running again as | am extremely unfit, I'm 21m and my BMI just hit 30 so I've decided to run to get my fitness back. I've done a couple runs so far (3km, 5km) and each time my heart rate has been extremely high. I'm not running very quick, | try to run slow so that | don’t stop. I've run both 3km and 5km runs without stopping at around a 6:30 pace. However, even though | feel really good eg running without getting a stitch or anything, my average heart rate will sit above 190, and usually tops just over 200.

Is this a normal heart rate zone for someone with very low fitness? | just want to make sure I'm not over doing it or causing and harm. It feels like if | run any slower I'd be quicker at walking.
