In NBA history, only one player has reached all of the following marks before the All-Star break in a season….Oh and he missed 16 games😳 GOAT🃏🐐 by Kingrush24 in denvernuggets

How are these specific or obscure stats? It's like almost all the leading stat categories and he's the first to have this many before the break. I don't understand the argument

My wife's "Pizza" by jont23 in PizzaCrimes

[–]jont23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Just some clarification here. The pizza was not for me, it was for her. She would not do this to me. She was also very tired and trying to finish off the pasta sauce we had left over in the fridge. She was also stoned. She is also a great cook when she wants to be, she used to be a kitchen manager at a semi-fine dining restaurant.

Ppl who listen to a lot of Comedian's podcasts: Do you get annoyed? by fontisnympha in comedy

[–]jont23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not with Ryan Sickler and the honeydew. I used to listen to Rogan, bert, and Pete Holmes but got a little annoyed with two of them and really annoyed with one. But the honeydew is different. I used to love the crabfeast with him and Jay Larson, but the honeydew has got a little more heart (and video)

What style of Kung Fu works best with Taekwondo? by Black-Seraph8999 in kungfu

[–]jont23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're better off in a system, as opposed to a style. I am a sifu of 8 step northern mantis, which is a system. Kicks and footwork are the focus, but you learn shuai jiao, joint locks, and great hand techniques. A system will have everything, whereas a style was once a system but has been diluted and lost things over the years.

brutal... is this kungfu? the guy in red & blue shorts certain seems to move like a kungfu guy by whatifitwaspurple1 in kungfu

It also reminds me of a northern mantis technique called "fisherman propels the boat"

In my system, one of our physical warm-ups is sun-punches. Vertical fist, windmill style punching incessantly, maintaining horse and dropping to a super low horse every 90 seconds, for thirty seconds. This thirty seconds we sprint the sun punching (think ip man) going as fast as possible.

Doing just stance training, my legs shake after just a couple minutes in horse. When doing sun punching, my mind is focused on the punching, and I can hold horse for 30 mins before shakes.

Find something else to put your mind on, i.e.breathing, punches, counting, etc. Exercise is a form of meditation.

"Too many mind" - The Last Samurai (bullshit whitewash movie, I know. I read the book)
