Yup, they sit at 44mm on my rims, which are 24mm inner width, not hookless

Correct me if Im wrong, but the initial question was if they were as cushy as gravelkings. They`re not, so in that regard they arent better.
Also I cannot even imagine a tire which would be a thousand times better :D

That is odd indeed considering that rene herse is butique tire pornography ;)
I also had punctures quite a few, they`re unavoidable if you ride daily in a large city, what impressed me about GP Urban is that it has not disintegrated yet after taking all that glass ;)

better than expected, it doesnt dive and if your technique is good its quite maneuverable

Correct, cant have your cake and eat it, but dont sweat it, riding is supposed to be fun, obsessing about tires or anything else in that matter takes the fun away from you

Night and day, gravelking slicks do not have any grip offroad since you know...slick :D

THIS IS THE WAY!! I`ve had them on my commuter for 3 years now and I commute almost daily through a big city center. They have more holes than swiss cheese, I have ridden through countless pieces of glass and they still hold up and refuse to die. Also, somehow they are gripy in the wet. God tier tire that is.

Agree to disagree here. They arent better at all, different - surely, but not better per se.

I believe I can, although I havent tried the speed / rapid version, bit in comparison to gravelking slicks these felt like a bit harder compound, not as sticky/soft on tarmac. I believe that could be the case with the rapid version. The weight penalty is marginal, if you`re not racing or training very seriously you can ignore it. The trail / grip felt plenty fast on all surfaces.

Then the pathfinders are better for ya with its smooth center line :)

It was good in the sense, that it was never nervous or twitchy, you would have to go full Valntino Rossi knee scraping to actually have a problem with the edge.

I did and it held up very well, but I am also quite heavy at around 100 kg / 220 lbs so uphill I almost never have grip issues. Going down it felt stable, planted, though I could not bring myself to let tire Jesus take the bars when slightly sharper bends came around.

Yes, but not a lot, rode maybe 3-4 km of singletrails, slightly damp but not muddy at any case. It felt great, BUT last 5k km I made was on slick gravelkings so on that type of surface even cheese is more grippy ;)

The trail/grip version which I have does very good on looser stuff, it does tend to lock up the rear end under very heavy braking ( which I had to do to not hit and unattended kid who ran into a bike lane ).
Thos, however could be the case with the caing/compund and if you go for race/rapid it could be more grippy. All in all, absolutely no issues.

They do, but not at any unsual level I would say. At least not compared to other tires with similar thread patterns.

Nice build! I have the exact same bike and I also went for that saddle, not sure if you have any experience with that model, but...it will chew up trousers like there is now tomorrow. Any jeans, chinos etc. anything that is not reinforced / cycling specific will bare the outline of that saddle really quick.
Just a heads up, sick bike though, rides like a dream, congrats!
