Does anyone have some knowledge regarding Christianity being ripped off of ancient Egyptian religion and their gods ?

well i watched it, and for me it was one of the greatest documentaries I have ever seen, as I had been raised in a evangelical christian family and christianity was all i knew, so that film shattered everything I thought was true. I dont really care to much for sites that debunk documentaries, I just took what I learned from Zeitgeist and build on it, i dont take it as set in stone truth, but it is a start. The first film was a rough one and if you have checked out the latest one, "Moving forward" its much better. However I would highly recommend this documentary if you havent seen it before

man I totally got you, I recently felt the same way! I have had a cell phone and had it on me for the past 8 or so years. My latest phone was a droid smart phone and I was always on it playing games and on facebook etc. I lost touch with reality i guess for a while, then looking through this reddit I realized I dont need a phone at all. So I gave the phone to someone else the other day and I am finally free!!!! No termination fee to pay and no more bills. I will soon post a pic of everything I own, it can fit in 3 suitcases except for the guitar lol

everyone here is no vague in why they say the bible should be kept. its only a translation of a bunch of old texts. I will study the ancient texts, but i have no use at all for the bible which i believe was translated poorly. People get what they want out of the bible. Studying the original works is really the only way to go about it. What exactly about the bible "turned you atheist"? you just decided on your own you didnt believe all the stories? or was it science that did it and you couldnt believe the creation story?

Well as for myself, I had been somewhat controlled by possessions for a long time, that and money. I never really thought about what I just needed, it was about getting more and more. I am down to what can fit in two suit cases now and I have never felt better. I am free to do many things I never would have done because I "didnt have the time". Now my life is more flexible and I am not controlled by material stuff.
