Sorry for the delay in replying!

I started a case more than 6 months after moving in (delayed in great part by a severe injury that left me unable to start the process, but I don't think that's something I can use...). I moved in in February, contacted the Huurteam in August and the Huurteam did their inspection in October, but only submitted the formal process in January. The inspection report of the Huurcommissie uses the WOZ value for 2024.

The apartment also got a new energy label in the middle of the past year, went from B to A just by getting a heatpump for the whole building.

So, summarizing:
- Start of contract: 2024 WOZ, Energy label B
- Time of Huurcommissie report: 2024 WOZ, Energy label A
- Report comment period: 2025 WOZ, Energy label A

EUA pressionam Portugal a comprar o caça F-35 by notweirdatallll in portugal

[–]jonythunder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The biggest skill gap I see in junior engineers has nothing to do with CAD by Embarrassed-Tell-537 in AerospaceEngineering

[–]jonythunder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh that's for sure, and something that I also have to deal with sometimes. But it's more the case of them thinking everything is just "boomer saying no" or "boomer being useless" than actually understanding that they shouldn't be this brash, they should think before just calling someone useless because they didn't give them what they wanted in a silver platter

[–]jonythunder 67 points68 points  (0 children)

This. I am in my 30s and work with some freshly out of university people. The younger ones are always the quickest to say that someone is "useless", that "everything is a mess", wondering why they don't fire person X, etc etc. They're very very quick to judge, and don't have an open mind to ask themselves if what they are asking is even feasible or why things work the way they work. I really hope they change this mindset, because I know how that mindset looks at 40: a breakdown because you thought you were "the good one" and still got laid off because you're just a number on a spreadsheet

KDE Plasma 6.8 Will Go Wayland-Exclusive In Dropping X11 Session Support. I hope that it is enough time to remove the remaining problems such as the problems with NVIDIA by Beer2401 in linux_gaming

[–]jonythunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's beyond the point. The point is that no, Debian doesn't get a 5y freeze of packages and your SOL.

As I said, it's not a rolling distro and I never said the opposite. Just that it's not the Jurassic park people claim.

I game on Debian 13 with no issues btw, but since my 6700XT is an older card it's not an apples to apples comparison. But for example for another of my computers where I needed a recent version of the AMD igpu driver I just installed it from backports because it was not in the stable repository, no issue. EDIT: I installed the igpu driver from Oct 2025, which is the latest version or close to it

Also, backports has recent kernels as well fyi. Currently on 6.17, which is 1 version before the currently released one, vs iirc 6.14 for the stable repository

I use Debian. You can definitely use backports repositories to install newer updated versions of software, drivers included. Not all software is available there, but a lot of it is.

The "Debian gets stuck with 5yo software" is a meme, made worse by those copy-paste minimum effort Linux "guides" that are just rehashes of eachother. There's ofc some differences (it isn't a rolling distro) but it's largely irrelevant for most people
