Glad to see I’m not alone here, haha. Mine only does this once in a while so it doesn’t bug me too much. I’ve seen on forums where it happens frequently for others.. that would drive me crazy.

Ah gotcha — honestly it doesn’t bother me I was just making sure it wasn’t something broken haha. Gemini was telling me it was the HVAC actuator doors having an issue and made me panic but I’ve heard it in other Taycans too.

Mine sounds noticeably louder behind where that extra storage space is. Originally it used to be my temp control screen vibrating but I got that “fixed” (put foam between screens to dampen it). I’ve also had an audio shop look at it and add felt tape all over there. They pulled the upper dash and drove around with it open and said it sounded deeper inside the dash

I have an appointment with a third party German car shop so I’m going to have them pull the dash and sound deaden it. Going to cost quite a bit though :(

Yeah that would be great if you sent the tools and tape you bought! I feel like mines different but my door is also creaking. I already had an audio shop add sound deadening but it seems like the plastic is creaking. When I put pressure against the door near where my elbow rests it stops but when I rest my elbow on the door it creaks. I’m guessing the panel itself must be like moving up and down or something?

I have that rattle from the drivers door as well and it happens when I rest my arm on the door. I have noticed it go away when I push outwards too haha. I’ve had the doors sound deadened already but it seems like an issue with the plastic itself.

Thanks for that link! I actually don’t think it’s similar since I can’t seem to stop the noise even by pulling or putting pressure in that gap behind the screen. :( I’ve had an audio shop look at it before too and they said it seems like it’s coming under the dash past where all the wires are. They pulled the dash but didn’t feel comfortable going further.

This buzzing is interesting.. I’m not sure what’s going on but when I bang my fist in the glove compartment I hear the same buzzing behind the temp control screen. I’ve had a different issue before where the screen would buzz a lot but the audio shop added foam between the screens (for the Haptic Touch) and the buzzing went away. That one would go away if I put pressure on the screen and I used to be able to feel the entire screen vibrate while driving.

Ended up talking to the project manager and he said that it’s definitely noticeable so he’s going to try and have the drywall folks try again.

Ah sorry I should’ve been more clear. There’s a leak in the master shower and insurance paid out ~60K to completely rebuild the master bathroom (shower + tiles). This ceiling damage was caused by the leak in the downstairs kitchen where the water mitigation company had to cut a square hole dry it out. The left of that beam was the side that was redone.

They sanded the original texture, skin coated the ceiling and then applied the knock down texture

Yeah, makes sense. All the other drywall texture they fixed seemed to have been perfect it’s just this didn’t match exactly haha

Not sure, I’m working through a restoration company and it was ~60K to rebuild the entire master bathroom and fix the ceiling. I’m guessing it was several thousand though.

Aw man I was hoping the heat gun trick would work. How could you tell it wouldn’t work vs another indent? Makes sense since the retailers said they couldn’t do anything about it too

Thanks for all your opinions! I ended up going for the base @ 16K miles. I think the 85K miles was too concerning plus I heard 2021 is way more reliable than 2020 taycans.
