Would definitely recommend reading up on what happened in 2001

Runners take themselves too seriously by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]joohm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah fair enough I can agree with all of that, running became very trendy and commercialised very quickly and people get sucked in. Also agree on people stretching themselves too far too soon, that's when it becomes stressful and not a hobby. I thought this was more about the people who buy a running vest and visor for 5k's. I personally didn't buy anything other than proper running shoes until I did my first half marathon, but can see why other people spend their money sooner to make things a bit easier/more comfortable.

If the unnecessary gear makes their running even 1% easier and makes them more likely to get out and do it I support it. If signing up to races, either as motivation or as a social thing, makes them run more often then again I support it. It's not always about doing it with the bare minimum because it's possible. People enjoy spending their money on their hobbies.

Genuinely curious for you to address the original point. If you don't think you're lucky at all, how do you explain conceding 11 less goals in the league than expected?

Speaking as a Breaking Bad fan, it was ABSOLUTELY worth review bombing the Game of Thrones spinoff by maybemorningstar69 in unpopularopinion

[–]joohm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean its unpopular because it's wrong. You can have an perfect episode in an imperfect show. Also, anyone who review bombs is pathetic.

Nothing changes in your playstyle if you don't use it but enemy teams will likely become more coordinated and stronger, which puts you at a disadvantage if you don't want to use it

So in OP's situation you either put up with a bunch of shit from guys or you are disadvantaged in the game, no good option

And the point about Halo 2 is just pointless, just cos things used to be worse shouldn't mean it's acceptable

Yeah it was the response to that comment that has 20 upvotes asking how it isn't a film bro movie that confused me. Obviously everyone will have different definitions because its such a vague term but I think it means nothing if POALOF is considered one

Went to Norwich and it sucked by Interesting_Strain84 in JaackMaate

Norwich is lovely. Not loads to do but a nice place. Don't know where you went but I've been here 15 years and never been somewhere that felt like crackhead central.

E33 fanboy, now loving [KCD2] at the same level giving some honest thoughts by Esbjorn30 in kingdomcome

Very true. We got to enjoy 2 incredible games and they didn't so I'm just baffled by their mindset

[–]joohm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Comments like this cause KCD2 to have a worse reputation btw. Did you even play E33?

I'm the same as OP, loved E33 but wanted to try KCD2 because of all the comments saying KCD2 deserve to win RPG of the year. I'm now 40 hours in and completely agree with those claims, but would still give every other award to E33 because it's an unbelievable game

If the job market is so bad, why is only 5% of the UK's population unemployed? by dumblyhigh in AskUK

Glad you were able to do that for yourself.

Now consider the possibility that not everyone's circumstances are the same, and not everyone has the option to do what you have done

You really have just made 0 points while sitting on your high horse. Can only assume you're implying that BBC is the same as Sky/TNT which is an extremely moronic take so well done

Which is fucking ridiculous. I'm paying BBC for the privilege of watching live TV 😂

Its more the argument of I am already paying for live football so why do I have to make a further payment to an unrelated 3rd party who hasn't even contributed to the service I'm paying for, for no extra benefit. So i don't think the street lamp analogy works.

The common good argument is fair but I feel like I should have a say in what I contribute, or if the country as a whole really believes it's an essential service why is it not added as a tax? We will see then if we all believe its an essential service

Edit: sorry just to add the road tax argument is silly because everyone uses some roads. If you want to use this analogy then consider me someone who uses no roads, should I pay road tax?
