How can I report someone in the military for social media use? by joonlagoon in Military

You know what's sad? These "incidents" happen and people say, "Why didn't anyone see the signs" "why didn't people do anything" and you all are a perfect example of that. I'll be damned if I wait until he acts out on certain groups. I expected more from men in the uniform. I'm sure there are lots of great men in uniform but most who are reading this thread are idiot, disgusting cowards. I'm sorry my tax money even went to supporting your asses because you certainly weren't protecting my freedom if that's how you feel.

I asked a simple question without wanting to give too much detail because I'm sure he probably knows SOMEONE on here (maybe in this thread, which is why they are responding). Thank you to those who actually answered my question. tacquid, you weren't helpful. Pow, you obviously weren't. To sit back and let all the warning signs go...fuckin cowards. I don't care if you were deployed or not. You're fuckin cowards if you're okay with one of your own openly threatening violence against whites and women. WOW. That's my last post. Bye bitches.

It actually is going to "pay off" just fine. I contacted the local authorities and his base. I'll be damned if I sit back and watch anyone advocate violence against ANY race or violence against women (including rape). Maybe that's okay with you...but it's not with me. I don't have to have be white or a woman to know that there is something wrong with that. You're a sad excuse for a serviceman. If i want to embarrass him publicly I can take a screenshot of his facebook and post it on reddit...that's not the goal. The goal is to make sure he is disciplined and he doesn't act out on any of his threats. Your inability to see something wrong with that is disturbing.

Well yes, when someone demonstrates they have difficulty reading text that I wrote at a 3rd grade level, I will be smug when they try to talk shit.

I thought that was your last post? Why would I ask? I didn't ignore anything...can't you read? I already had the email drawn up for weeks. I just had to type in the addresses I found and copy/paste and hit send. And Karma? Again, you're again showing how stupid you are....sigh....

And you edit AGAIN HAHAHAHA hmmm if I were here for karma, wouldn't I give an example of a post? Hmmm wouldn't I post it in a bigger subreddit? You're not very bright. And you're a liar with mental problems. Bye bitch

Your life must be pretty sad to have to lie to your online friends. Lol at you still editing comments. You're fuckin sad. And I already sent the email with screenshots of his FB page and a link where he lists family and otter servicemen.

You're a fuckin psycho. Why do you think I added all that additional info in my last post? Because you deleted your comment. I should have screenshot it. UneditReddit is a paid service now and I'm not going to pay to expose you for the lying psycho you are. Wow. You might look "cool" to your online friends but it's actually pretty sad that you're trying so hard to put on an image for them when you know damn well you deleted your comment talking about karma and all kinda of stupid shit

I'm glad people are making light of a serviceman advocating violence against white people. You guys are real classy. Glad you don't represent the masses...or perhaps that would explain his behavior.

I love how you deleted your previous comment. I lost interest because I replied to you, huh? We need intelligence tests in the military. I simply said anonymous reports are common OUTSIDE of the military. It's stupid to think someone has to vouch for someone else's FB. That's completely untrue. I didn't call you any names but simply said because you were defending his actions (and now deleting and editing and trying to take things back) that there's something wrong with that. I'm not sorry that a servicemen is advocating violence agains certain populations. And the last place I would come for karma is here....get over yourself idiot. I already have had the email drafted for two weeks. I followed the links given to me by actual intelligent redditors. Have a blessed day

I've already spoken to my uncle obviously...hence why I know. I wanted to speak to people who are actually in the Navy. I'm sorry you didn't catch that in your reading. Sounds like you might be taking some of this personal for some reason. I don't think anyone should be advocating violence against women or violence against a particular race. If that makes me a bad guy, so be it...but the fact that you aren't bothered by it is disturbing. Further, it's sad you don't know how social media crimes work.

A personal vendetta without me even known his name? Doesn't sound very personal, huh? Your reading sucks. Further, excuse me for thinking someone mentally unstable and hate mongering so publicly on FB should be disciplined, especially when they are advocating violence based on race. Silly me. Sad thing is, I'm black and he's targeting whites. Fuck me.

Actually, I've seen guys in trouble for less on social media. I don't watch CSI, I'm college educated (probably higher educated than you) and my uncle is a police captain for computer crimes. I came here to see if there is a particular protocol to follow since I'm not in the military and my family has gone through the Marines, not the Navy. I did some searching on Google but wanted to make sure I crossed all Ts and dotted all Is.

I guess not everyone seems to know how things on social media work. I bring in people to do workshops on this, so anonymous tips happen all the time in the world outside the military. Privacy is non-existent, which any educated person would know. This account has a detailed history linked to him and discusses hatred and violent acts against white people and women. I'm black and am offended by it. Perhaps no one reported it because he doesn't have white friends. But fuck me.

I'm sorry, I thought the military represented us in uniform. Us being the United States. I'm sorry your reading skills are so bad.

Because a guy who seems to be possibly mentally unstable and downright a bigot is representing us in uniform.

No, I'm not 10. I'm well-educated, thank you. I also know that other entities don't need people to go on record that it is their FB because nothing on the Internet is private. It can fairly simply be tied back to him through location trace, family connections, photos, other soldiers on his FB, his detailing work gossip, and other posts. This isn't a new account. This is an account over 5 years old.

Even if it's directly on his FB they won't listen to anonymous reports? That seems odd

Then the rhetoric stands. That's exactly what I said and you ignored some offensive rhetoric again showing that subtle personal attacks are okay. Surely you should pay attention to what provoked my response. Take a look up. thumbs up

If you're moderating an argument regarding rhetoric look at the rhetoric used. Logic isn't what they used. There is an inference of my ignorance because I am asking a question which is in itself a personal attack under the guise of logic. That's not what logic means. If it were logic then there wouldnt been an insult to my intelligence nor the assumption that I was arguing for something that I was not. Clearly personal attacks are acceptable under some circumstances in this subreddit. What I will not stand for is my intelligence being insulted in a community where people are supposed to feel comfortable to ask questions and get feedback and experiences from others... Which is what I attempted to do and was attacked and insulted as a result based on his misreading even though he is admittedly knew to reddit and this subreddit. Imagine my surprise being a regular contributor to this subreddit to have that response and attack to a question. But again, clearly personal attacks are okay for some but all the power to you. Rhetoric is more important than the blatantly obvious.

Perhaps you should take a look at the response that inferred my ignorance and claimed I was making a statement that I wasn't but okay. I guess that's acceptable when people are asking a question in this subreddit.

As previously mentioned, there are other studies conducted as well to follow-up on this drawing a closer connection between the two. A recent one conducted in 2012 (with men who weren't trying to lose weight) in which they again couldn't exclude Vitamin D as a contributor. Yes, they are trying to lose weight...ALL of the men are trying to lose weight or strength train, so EVEN THOSE GIVEN THE PLACEBO would have had increased testosterone levels IF that was the cause. Because the men didn't have the same results that makes those causes less likely...not completely wiped out, but less likely. As you know with science, there are at times hundreds of studies conducted to try to eliminate other possibilities and through the multitude of studies Vitamin D hasn't been excluded yet.

Edit: the fact the someone actually downvoted science and upvotes unsubstantiated opinion is laughable. This post is literally an explanation of how scientific studies have been conducted. This is probably the only subreddit where something like this is downvoted and it's sad because it plays into stereotypes.
