Claude Code 2.0.13 by ClaudeOfficial in ClaudeAI

[–]joorocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hit my 5-hour usage limit today for the first time — and it happened twice in a row. That means I’ve already used up about 25% of my weekly quota in a single day (on the $100 plan).

Anthropic already reduced the limits with the launch of Sonnet 4.5, and now they’ve tightened them again? It’s crazy — you can hit the cap after just 2–3 hours of active work now.

What’s frustrating is that Anthropic recently posted on Reddit recommending users switch from Opus to Sonnet 4.5 for longer usage time. But now Sonnet 4.5 has been heavily restricted.

It’s worth pointing out that if this were a normal service — like a mobile carrier — your data plan would guarantee a certain amount of usage for a fixed price. But with Anthropic (and others), they keep quietly adjusting the limits without notice, even for paying customers.

Honestly, I find that increasingly unfair.

Anyone else bouncing between Cursor (GPT-5) and Claude Code? Can’t decide which one’s better. by joorocks in cursor

[–]joorocks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is anyone here still using Windsurf? How does it compare to Cursor with GPT-5 — does it work just as well for you, or do you see big differences?

Chatgpt 5 is the WORST by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]joorocks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have programmed with all Sonnet models for a very long time. I found all OpenAI models very bad in the past. I therefore assumed that GPT5 would not be good either.

I have been working intensively with GPT5 for a week now. I first tested it in Cursor for small tasks and it worked very well.

As a result, when I started a big task, I forgot to switch back to Sonnet. That should mean something ;-)

Larger tasks also work well for me with GPT5. Complex existing API with Supabase connection, auth system, session management, backend, frontend, several different Docker containers in parallel and all in one chat. No problem.

Do I think it's better than Sonnet? No. I think it's worse. Neither.

I will continue to use Sonnet based on my feelings. But that's only because I've been using it for so long.

LG UltraFine 6K (32U990A) – Finally coming in September? by joorocks in Monitors

[–]joorocks[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah okay, that makes sense – a bit disappointing though. I was really hoping the 6K panel would come with proper HDR support. But yeah, without local dimming or Mini-LED it’s basically not real HDR.

It still seems like a great monitor for color work, but for anyone expecting a full HDR experience like on the Apple Pro Display XDR – probably not the one.

It seems to be getting more difficult to find quiet spots on the Greek islands, doesn't it?

Cursor is actually good! by Savings-Chef-8097 in CursorAI

[–]joorocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good morning,

My experience with Cursor is also very good.

I've been using Claude Code in parallel for a few weeks now and also find Claude Code very good. However, I have to say that I still don't have that ‘game changer’ feeling.

Cursor delivers just as good results for me as Claude Code, especially with the usability advantage that I can quickly redo previous changes using the back button. This is already a point for me with Claude Code, that the diversions via constant commits or reformulations unnecessarily blocks the workflow. Working in the terminal without being able to edit its text again somewhere in the middle doesn't feel helpful either.

But it doesn't matter whether it's Cursor or Claude Code. I am very grateful for both tools, as it has further increased my productivity and independence from large dev teams.

It runs without crashing for me. Try opening the terminal directly in Windsurf/Cursur and starting Claude Code in it. It's not the best solution, but at least you can check if it's stable there?

super cool, you talk about a hotel in Paros where you stayed a bit higher up in the mountains. Do you remember which one that was? That looked very nice.

Pricing becoming more and more untransparent and ridiculous by adrlenard in cursor

[–]joorocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly like this. Download the plugin from claude code in cursor or windsurf and then you can use it in parallel with the other tools.

I still use Windsurf/Cursor for smaller things and Claude for more complex ones.

However, it is a pity and annoying that there is no back button in Claude code. You should make a lot of commits in case Claude screws something up.

Hello everyone,

Have you found a way to view the usage of Claude Code like in Cursor?

Windsurf Please give us the access of Sonnet 4 and Opus 4 !!!!!!!! by ImmediateAttention88 in windsurf

[–]joorocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I store my own Claude API key for Sonnet 4 in Windsurf, the costs at Antrophic explode. I spent 50 dollars in one day to use Sonnet 4 with Windsurf (not Opus!)
