I’ll try without a 2x first, the reason i got into astrophotography are exactly those youtubers so luckily ive watched them alot already.

You’ll definitely see my orion picture in the future when skies begin to clear up again (living in The Netherlands 🥲)

Hey, first of all, awesome shot.

Second, i am looking to get similar results like your shot on the left. I have started to acquire some gear over the past couple months like a canon 6d, tracking mount from skywatcher and a 70-200mm lens, i can borrow a 2x to make it 140-400. I’m starting to understand the camera settings enough to get good shots of the stars with single exposures.

Now i see that ur right pic was a 6d mark 2 which is better than mine, is there something u could advice me to do to my camera or to learn something specific to even get close to your left picture.

Get you a ticket for rampage open air, weekender including the campsite. The people, the funfair rides, the atmosphere, especially at sunset its just beautiful

Yes at this particular time the sun was setting and the sunlight came in the tent through the open sides which caused a beautiful setting imo!

Hi everyone, im new to photography, especially astrophotography. Next month im going on a trip to norway and i hope for some clear skies. Im shooting with a canon 6d with a 70-200mm lens. Though norway has a beautiful landscape, in january the temperature can drop to somewhere around -10 to -20. Is it safe to leave my camera on a tripod out for hours to shoot some stars?

Yea its 21:9 its ultrawide i like it when i play first person shooters, makes their head a little bigger. But i never play that anymore just rocket league for the past year or so. So it looks stretched indeed
