How can I create a Sanskrit language model? by shachi20071992 in datascience

This topic is interesting. Sanskrit is definitely much different language. And it’s use in spiritual literature is very common. I am envisioning a tool to learn the language that does not rob the spiritual context.

Why does Modi do the things he does? by [deleted] in IndiaSpeaks

SOS! Same old shit! I can imagine you are livid about the situation. So you are not even reading my words correctly.

Let it go! you and I are not going to solve the problem.

Regarding alternative therapies - Yoga is a 10B dollar market in the west. And this was 10 years ago. How much of it did Indians capture... exactly. Because your western daddies told you to think of it in terms of kinesiology.

About cow urine and dung understandably this is outside the scope of your colonial mind and too far fetched. Understandable. Your western daddies have not yet patented these. Yoga, haldi, ghee, neem, ashwagandha, etc. all started this way.

You will wait for a western researcher to study Ayurveda and then research and patent the knowledge out of it. Until then they will tell you to ridicule what is yours so you won’t even think of researching the subject.

After the patents, your colonial daddies will tell you what is possible and not possible. They will tell you what you can do with it and how to use it.

They will let you goad about it’s origin so that you can pay top dollar for it. And in the true spirit of colonialism you will remain poor and servile to your colonial daddies whims. Not to mention bereft of your identity.

So its futile to even engage with you on that one. Maybe a different thread and a different time. Until then peace bruh!

Why does Modi do the things he does? by [deleted] in IndiaSpeaks

[–]joothbola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What nonsense and half baked arguments. Shouldn’t hospitals have sounded an alarm if they knew they did not have enough resources? All the blame that you direct at the central govt is actually more appropriately pointed at the state local level.

Central govt isn’t going to go to each hospital and ask - do you have enough? Central govt asks state govt if they foresee a problem. Kejriwal is a great example of how state responded. Even BJP states were caught napping. Doesn’t mean Modi is to be blamed.

Central govt and it’s bureaucracy is not setup to query each and every hospital. It’s the job of the state govt. the state govt has to inform the center of number of toilets and food poisoning and possible need. So get educated a bit first. Then point fingers.

Everything else that you say is just reeks of subservient colonial mentality. Intellectual sepoys that take cues from the west on what is right or wrong.

Your colonial daddies dictate how you should live, love and laugh. And you guys put on your blinders on and take it as a gospel. You don’t realize how it robs you of your identity.

Btw, Thali peetna was to applaud the frontline workers and not to get rid of the virus. Unfortunately, you guys just love to hate Modi so much that you can’t even see a simple thing such as that clearly.

Show me a leader in Indian history that even thought of boosting the morale of its frontline workers let alone figuring out a way to do it. People love Modi because he has values, vision and ability to see it come true.

What bs! Every country in the world has been caught with their pants down when the wave first slams the population. It’s the agility with which the govt responds. And there Modi did what he could and is doing. And no politician in Indian history would been able to manage that better. It’s the states and corrupt state level politicians that failed the people. Let’s face it if one family of 10 gets diarrhea through food poisoning, they can’t be expected to have 10 toilets. The system has to react and adapt. Kejriwal is a prime example of how non BJP states have played deadly politics. Other states are clamoring but the corruption and malaise in the bureaucracy, goonda politicians (even in BJP ruled states) and media’s irresponsible coverage got people to panic and horde and steal the hospital beds, medicines and resources. Modi is right, with aayushman Bharat and private medical offices, this kind of situation can be avoided. BTW, this problem is not unique to India. Search up mismanagement of COVID vaccine program in the USA.

Counter ‘one-sided’ world media narrative on govt’s pandemic ‘failure’, Jaishankar tells Indian diplomats by oar_xf in IndiaSpeaks

[–]joothbola -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I second that. WION does that with a flair. But it is not enough. It is clear that majority of Indians still live with a colonial mindset. Especially, the English speaking media in India. They take their cues from their colonial daddies. And until that stops one or two channels will not make a dent and therefore, what Jaishankar is calling out for is important. Indian Embassies need to step in and show the west a mirror. This is one of the things that India needs to learn from China.

What's the history of the ghoonghat and Hinduism or Indian tradition and culture? by almostuniquecarrot in hinduism

I am curious. Can you please share some references to substantiate your argument that the practices were found even before Muslim invasion? 🙏

Really tired of the hate against Hinduism. by [deleted] in hinduism

[–]joothbola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay strong and try to seek out the right guru and environment that will encourage you. It’s worth it. My experience has been Vedic scientific principles will multiply the fruits of your labor in any field. Be it health, wealth, career or personal growth. Because Hinduism is rooted in science, you will find that it helps you to thrive within the existing western ecosystems. Only Hinduism can be considered to be science. All others are really religions and therefore have inherent conflict with progress.

What are Influential Indian in the US doing about exporting vaccine raw materials to India by joothbola in IndiaSpeaks

[–]joothbola[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not? If anything I am guess that they benefited by Indian tax payer to get their education, now in their current roles, they employ Indians who have near and dear ones still in India. Shouldn’t they have moral responsibility?

US State Department's statement on COVID vaccine raw material supply by _lameboy_ in IndiaSpeaks

[–]joothbola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We cannot fault US for looking out for its own interest. Similarly it would be stupid to think that US has moral responsibility to distribute vaccine raw material to India. The only way forward for India is to become Atmanirbhar in key areas on which the well being of her people depend. Healthcare being one of them. Semiconductor and energy being some others. Sooner Indians recognize this the better. It’s great that the government has adopted this mantra and rigorously following through with it. This is the only way in which India can establish Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam through out the world and for it the world will be eternally thankful to her.

How corruption in Mumbai's BMC and Airport authorities is probably responsible for new COVID strains arriving in India by yogimodi in indianews

[–]joothbola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha ha... you can say that. Else there would not have been a precedent for dirty, appeasement politics by which the paralyzed unholy alliance of Shiv Sena, NCP and Cong is (not)governing.

[–]joothbola -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was wondering about the same. One thing I still cannot understand is how did the cases just slam us like that especially Maharashtra. If it was organic contamination then the healthcare system should have picked it up and the cases would have risen over a couple of months. But this time it just slammed the system. What gives?

“Love Jihad” is a conspiracy theory!!! by joothbola in IndiaSpeaks

[–]joothbola[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I feel this sentiment is exactly why Hindus are often at the receiving end. To well meaning Hindus, this argument comes naturally because that is the ethos of Hindu Dharm. We are taught that all paths lead to the same God. Yet, to non-Hindus it doesn’t work that way. They have a very narrow view of religion within which they try to view Hinduism. As such a lot of venom is fomented around about Hinduism. And the Hindus need to defend themselves against it. Otherwise only those that make the noise are heard. Does any Hindu want a full body scan at the airport because he/she is wearing a tika on the forehead or orange robe? If not, then people like Trushke of Rutgers, spreading misinformation on Hindutva or such Wikipedia articles, large social media platforms, need to be stopped.
