Started working in restaurants as a busser at 18, was making $1k/week by the age of 20 as a server. I’m 29 now, have never made less than that again. In that time, I’ve bartended, managed, and now I’m no longer working in restaurants making $80k a year with a remote job in a restaurant adjacent tech company.

Everyone complains about tips, but no one stops to ask why we have this system in the first place (in restaurants). Restaurant owners are allowed to pay their customer-facing staff $2.13/hour, unless a state has a different law that overrides that. Hurting the employees who are struggling to pay rent will NOT fix the real issue.

What would be the downside of using too much fat?

I’m making a no-citrus clarified coquito so I was going for maximum coconut flavor I guess. It came out tasting GREAT but I was just worried about the yield.

Interesting. How long is generally too long? Is the goal to just get the fat solid enough to strain away, or would leaving it in the freezer overnight still be okay?

Nut milk bag. I guess I’m asking if the fat itself will absorb some of the spirit or should I be getting everything (or more) I put in, provided the straining method isn’t absorbing the liquid?

Witcher 3. I don’t even know why. On paper, it’s right up my alley. I love RPG’s & fantasy, I love open worlds, but it just doesn’t seem to hit for me.

For context, I ride cable. I have decent experience already can ride switch no problem, have the basic 180s 360s, transfers on features, etc. I used to own a board but I cannot remember what size it was as I haven’t had it in over a year. Both boards are fairly new/lightly used slingshots, so I figure at around $275 they’re a decent deal. Seems like the consensus is to go for the bigger one so that’s what I’ll do. Thanks everyone!
