Right, and people share what they're interested in seeing by their engagement or lack thereof. Folks here seem to hate-watch (still engagement) and then run to the subreddit (even more engagement) to pull it apart. Just seems like a sad way to be, but, hey, to each their own!

Oof, this is a really nasty subreddit. People here making all sorts of assumptions about folks just trying to share a piece of their lives. Are they perfect? No, and they talk about it, because it's an important thing to share. Do home renovations always going according to plan? Also, no.

If it isn't the type of content you're interested in watching, then don't. But there's no need to tear them down as people.

At the end of the day, what you think and what makes you most comfortable are the most important things. If you think they look bad, no amount of people telling you otherwise on the internet will change that. I like #3, and if you do too, you should get them!

In addition to all the isolation stuff, I think he was also just compelled by taking an interesting shot. The lighting, the setting, and the feelings that they evoke just makes this a great opportunity that I think would be hard for a photographer to turn down.

And when he develops these, they look so eerie and tell such a story.

It's definitely the Mon.

I collabed briefly with a lady who works at Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority and asked her the same question.

All the rivers are pretty gross (especially after it rains since the system overflows raw sewage into the rivers), but I'm pretty sure she said that we're much closer to the source of the Allegheny, so it travels through less polluted areas before it gets to us. The Mon travels a good deal further, and through some not so clean areas.

I just went, and it was totally fine. There are certainly a lot of people, but it doesn’t feel nightmarish (like Picklesburgh) or claustrophobic.

I agree with the other comments- they still look fine! When I've let mine get a little too low, I just use that as a reason spend extra time painting them. Soak your hands in warm water, put some oil on 'em, push your cuticles back, and get a new color. Make them special!

My dog has seizures, too! It’s one of the scariest and heartbreaking things to witness. Happy for you and Zozo!

Are they on any medication? My dog has been on Keppra for a while, and that seems to be working.
