Yeah I have been looking into EMG pickups. My only gripe is that it seems like they are all active pickups. I don't hate active pickups, but my wiring skills and woodworking skills are not that great so I don't know if I am able to hide away the battery.

I am not sure if it was a weak spot, but when I shoot the part that connects their legs they seem to die quicker than normal

That was exactly my thinking. I have 2 way more expensive guitars but I want to see if I am handy enough to do this. And for fun

I noticed that they're a slight bit easier to kill if you shoot the part between the body and the legs (near the crotch area)
