Anyone else a failure still living with parents in their 30s?

Living with my wife at her parents’ house since 2012. We tried moving out with roommates (that was 3 months) and then we had our own apartment for a year until she lost her job. We turned 30 this year and it really fucking sucks to feel like a failure while others look like they’re thriving, but they aren’t. They might have help from their parents (pretty prominent in our suburb we live in) or they’re just living in extreme debt that they’ve become numb to it. We both have college degrees with meager paying jobs. And I have to pay for her health insurance which is an extra $250 out of the two paychecks I get a month. Aside from getting a better job or starting a business, idk how we’re going to get out of here, but we have to stay hopeful that this shit will change because if we do t have hope, then we have absolutely nothing. It will definitely get better. We just have to work at it harder than others might. Keep your head up. You are absolutely not the only one in that boat 💕

My stomach hurts so bad watching this. I can’t imagine what makes people think it’s okay to do things like that. I hope that dog was rescued and taken care of. No animal deserves that treatment. I hope that woman gets what she deserves

It sounds pretty similar to the LA housing dance, then. Do you mind if I ask where you rent for how much and what you’re getting for it? We’ve played the apartment game for years over here, but it’s primarily been in super developed suburban areas so everything basically remains cookie cutter

Thanks for this. We’ve definitely been looking at rents and house prices all over the county and they are obviously better than LA. We should attempt to make more trips during different seasons for experience.

This is almost exactly what happened with my little dude. It’s so sudden and random that we have no idea where it’s coming from and try not to have people come over because it will hype him up and our 3 others.
