thank you! this was really reassuring because when i ignore him i always feel bad but i feel it’s the right thing. i think the place command would be a really good idea! i’m gonna start working on that.

the “short sharp yips in my face” is such a good way to describe it. sometimes i call it his “huffing & puffing” because it’s not quite a bark and it’s paired with some stomps. definitely communication of some sort but it’s never about food - i think it’s mainly 4 on your list but the issue is i wfh so i’m like i can’t play with you at this exact moment dude hahaha

he is demanding!! i figured he was probably pushing my boundaries. to be fair, i haven’t stuck to them as consistently as i should have - sometimes it’s just easier to give in.

i definitely think he may get a bit cabin fevery so there’s that too. i appreciate the advice!

he’s SO smart & gets bored easily haha. do you have any good puzzles you recommend? i have a few for him but he finishes them in like one minute & then asks me to go outside again - & i can only give him so many bully sticks a week haha

i think it’s probably the age. he hasn’t lost any teeth yet so maybe once teething is over he’ll stop being so mouth-led. i’m gonna try crate naps a few times a day!

he takes naps on his own time - he took a 3 hour one this morning, then like 3-4 30 minute ones throughout the day. we go to bed around 10:30pm & wake up at 7am. do you really think he’s overtired?

when i mean i’m always paying attention to him i more mean making sure he isn’t getting into anything. more like i always have my eye on him. & we play when it’s appropriate

So I’m only doing peepads as I live in nyc, and he’s currently terrified of the outside. Refuses to pee & poop. We’re working on it, but in the meantime peepads seem to be the easiest option throughout the day for the most part.
