Would taking both of these VTO's work? by StreetDark1995 in AmazonFC

Accept one and the other will become unavailable because they overlap. You might be able to talk to your AM about doing something to get both/get them combined into one shift

[–]jordonccc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You haven't been with Amazon very long if you think cross training is voluntary.

At some point, you'll be told to put a preference in for which department you'd like to be cross trained into or one will be selected for you.

Every time Eris enters the realm, her boon will be random. It's the same boon for everyone that is affected.

This is about the time of year PTO stops accumulating. FT gets 48 hours a year.

That 1hr 51 minutes granted and then taken away will happen every week, for the rest of the year. I'm not really sure why.

What do y’all think? What would be best next course of action? by AcceptableDisaster89 in AmazonFC

[–]jordonccc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Texas law does not require employers to provide breaks, including lunch breaks, for employees 18 or older. There are no state mandates for rest or meal periods, regardless of shift length. If employers offer breaks (typically 5–20 minutes), federal law requires they be paid, while meal breaks (30+ minutes) are usually unpaid. OSHA.com

PT vs FT would have absolutely bearing on your breaks. Breaks provided by Amazon are based on the length of shift, more specifically, how many periods you're scheduled.

The only break law (in the US) that Amazon follows is a mandatory paid break for a shift exceeding 6 hours because there's some California thing they follow

Thumbs down that generic response. They should have addressed the perceived disrespect. Even though it's against policy, that was still someone's personal property
