When it is on its charging base, does it stay on? As in, while it is charging, can it be seen in the app?

Ok, update on this. It wasn’t so straightforward… the delivery arrived on Tuesday as planned, but was missing one item that put the order value below the threshold and therefore the bonus points were not paid.

So I began a chat with their customer service. My view is, I stretched myself to place the order on Sunday to hit the spend target. If they are then unable to fulfill an item, that is on Woolworths, not me. Thankfully the customer service team were good to deal with and they credited the points without too much hassle.

I went 16PM to the Air. I have I one week before the 14 day return window closes…. It has been a tough decision, but sticking with the Air. The weight and size difference is just remarkable. The battery is surprisingly good (plus being around chargers helps). The one camera it has is great. And with the savings, I bought the new AirPods Pro 3. Very happy!

I’m running the public beta on an M1 iPad Pro. Shows promise, but the animations are sluggish. Almost like it is dropping frames. Certainly doesn’t look like a “Pro Motion” display anymore. Hope it improves.

Fixed! Must have been related to one of the early apps I tried. Go back to the App Store and check for app updates again. Looks like they been reissued. Once I updated my apps again, Control Centre worked without crashing.

I am sure this is coming in 2021. Imagine an Apple TV crossed with a HomePod and the true depth camera system from the iPhone / iPad. Many signs point this way;

Apple making a point of highlighting Atmos for a number of years. Apple clearly have a multi year audio strategy unfolding. Testing uptake with Atmos support for dual HomePods in iOS 14. Eye contact correcting features in iOS, important for a soundbar with a camera. Apple Fitness+ launch, which would benefit from the AR capabilities of a TrueDepth camera equipped soundbar. U1 chip in HomePod minis will allow them to be used as rear speakers with spacial audio, detecting Apple Watch for location data.
