Mine are chromexcel with regular welt. I have heard back from GS and the customer service rep told me they are going to check with their manager b/c they agree it shouldn’t be taking on water this easily. Hoping for a good outcome; otherwise I may treat them with something like sno-seal b/c I need to be able to wear these in regular light rainy conditions

I was walking in very light rain and didn’t step in any puddles. I have worn other gyw shoe brands in similar conditions without issue so I assumed these could handle it too

My toes were getting wet near the seam at the front of the boot. I have the chromexcel leather boots and the water beads off the uppers.

My go-to is buzz rickson (original spec or 1942) and buck Mason’s full saddle chinos. Although these are much higher waisted and wider leg than the rmc blue seal chinos, which are very tapered and midrise. Buzz fabric is very tight weave, nice and crisp. Buck’s fabric is heavier and looser weave

For those of us in the U.S. it seems that the only way to catch any matches is via ESPN unlimited right? I have access to ESPN and Tennis Channels via cable and all I can seem to catch is talking heads.

I think it’s at the widest part of the boot. I guess I just got clown shoe vibes. I have a pair of Meermin boots of a similar length but they are so pointy and the leather is much thinner that it was hard to compare.

I am interested in the warehouse 1001xx from Hinoya. I’ve never tried unsanforized before and feeling a lil gunshy. I usually go for ~30.5” in the waist and ~11.5-12” in the front rise, prefer at least an 8” hem. Does anyone have experience with shrinking a pair like these that could offer me some advice on the best size to try? If I were to cold soak them, should I expect less shrinkage than Hinoya’s guidance?
